Hello, Random Crit!

Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
  • If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.
    • When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Random Crit to the file's name.
    • Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Random Crit/ to the page title when you create the page.

Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!

Ashes

Re: your started discussion on Ashes: User:Ashes#Connection between in-game items and TF2 World. If you look at Ashes recent contributions, you can see that it may be a bit before you get a response. Give it some days, then maybe ask somewhere else. Trivia undo

Hey there,

The trivia you added was undone for a reason, please don't add it again GrampaSwood (talk) 22:49, 26 January 2019 (UTC)

Yeah, Random Crit, don't revert reverts. The accepted pattern is Bold-Revert-Talk. You are owed an explanation, assuming one wasn't given, if you ask for it. M I K A D O 282 oOOOOo oo oo (talk) (Help Wanted!) 00:00, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
Hi, I think it's important to add such things to the Wiki, because TF2 fans made a great contribution to TF2 World: custom gamemodes, memes, items and, of course, videos and new characters. They have done so much, that it just can't be ignored. TF2 will die not after "a year without updates", but when most of the players forget what is "pootis", "spycrab" or who are Winglet and Nislt. And that's why TF2 is different from most other games - it has a large cultural basis, made by fans, while developers created world with huge potential for storytelling. And I came to this Wiki to link official content and fanmade parts of TF2 World. (Random Crit (talk) 07:28, 27 January 2019 (UTC))
Such things are covered in fads and Glossary of player terms, but I am hoping for Gabrielwoj to respond. M I K A D O 282 oOOOOo oo oo (talk) (Help Wanted!) 17:58, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
Also, I think it's a good idea to not only add playstyles like Pyroshark, but also like Demopan(Frying Pan, Chargin Targe) or Painis Cupcake(Rocket Jumper, Reserver Shooter/Batallion's Backup, Shovel) to the Class strategies.

My mistake in Help Wanted!. This has largely been covered in "Weapon combinations" sections in the Community Class Strategies. The playstyles named in Glossary of player terms can be linked to anchors added to the "Weapon combinations" sections. Mind you, I would only want to add effective team-supporting strategies, not derps or griefs. M I K A D O 282 oOOOOo oo oo (talk) (Help Wanted!) 17:58, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
