I think a little clarification is needed here. If I am correct, the meet the sniper theme is the only one not to be put in the game? --[[User:Stevoisiak|Stevoisiak]] 20:44, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

== Halloween 2010? ==

Shouldn't the menu music for the Halloween 2010 Update be included? Sorry if I'm jumping the gun a bit here. --[[User:Fantomas|Fantomas]] 22:26, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

:Unfortunately this isn't possible as of yet. The GCF extractor is broken. But thanks, we'll keep it so mind and put it up when we can. &ndash; [[User:Smashman|<span class="mod">Smashman</span>]]&nbsp;([[User_talk:Smashman|talk]]) {{mod}} 22:29, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Should we include the new theme that plays when you capture A and B on [[Degroot Keep]]? Cause that's a pretty cool song that I think should be included. <big> <font color = 330000 face = Impact> Smashbrother101 </font></big> 16:07, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Why is "Your Team Lost" here but not Your Team Won? [[User:Stbeecher|Stbeecher]] 22:45, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

:Your Team Won is not composed by Mike Morasky, it is edited victory sound from TFC, which is possibly stock. [[User:SiPlus|SiPlus]] 03:15, 18 July 2011 (PDT)

::Poking around in the TFC GCF, I'm seeing seeing a file which seems to match the applause and cheering which can be heard in the TF2 sound. I'm not, however, locating anything similar to the music cue which plays simultaneous to that in the TF2 victory sound... you know, the one which appears at the end of every single TF2 video, and is the ending for the TF2 Main Theme, Playing With Danger, and the Rocket Jump Waltz, all three of which were composed by Mike Morasky.  [[User:WNivek|WNivek]] 21:07, 30 July 2011 (PDT)

:::The applause and cheering is TFC victory sound. TF2 uses the same sound but with drums and "VICTORY!". [[User:SiPlus|SiPlus]] 10:49, 11 August 2011 (PDT)

== We need the soundtrack page to be in the format of the soundtrack page on the Portal Wiki ==

I think it will neaten it up, plus when I tried to copy and paste code to see if it will work, it didn't. So, that is one of the many features that need to be added to this wiki.

== Numbering template for the Soundtracks ==

Might be nice to have a (language switching) template for the number of soundtracks. Right now we have to edit all soundtrack pages to edit the total number of soundtracks.<br />

So instead of having "...being one of fifteen different main menu start up themes." we could have "being one of <nowiki>{{number of soundtracks}}</nowiki> different main menu start up themes." ==Intruder Alert Midi?==

There's a Midi version of 'Intruder Alert' that I feel should be on the Soundtrack page. What do others think? [[User:IWithered|IWithered]] ([[User talk:IWithered|talk]]) 11:25, 12 June 2014 (PDT)

== Music Analysis ==

There was an edit to this page several years ago that removed a section dedicated to the music theory of the soundtrack and notation of certain pieces and stings. While I agree it could have been presented in a much better way I believe the information is good to have. The edit in question: https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/index.php?title=Team_Fortress_2_Official_Soundtrack&oldid=1269956. I think some of it, particularly the notation should be moved to the Team Fortress 2 (Main Theme) (Soundtrack) page or alternatively deleted, and some of the overall info about the blues scales and instrumentation left here (with some tidying up). I should be able to contribute some more info as well, was just wondering if anyone had opinions to share on the subject first.

:Sounds like a nice addition, though the original was lacking in quality somewhat. ⇒[[File:Leaderboard class spy.png|16px|link=]] [[User:Anyar|<span style="font-size: 16px; font-family: TF2 Build">Anyar</span>]] ([[User_talk:Anyar|talk]]/[[Special:Contributions/Anyar|contributions]]/[[User:Anyar/No|giveaway]]) 17:42, 7 May 2017 (PDT)

: Really, if you mean what I think you mean, that might be something I have hoped for some time, as someone who grew up with the music genres Mike Morasky is tributing ( as I noted recently, on that account, my perspective is uncommon here, YMMV).  I have a sincere deep appreciation for his work.

: Looking at the old material you linked, I can see how that might be unappreciated by the general audience here, which can’t read music or chords.

: However, if you mean both of two things, then I am probably supportive. 1)  Describing in lay terms the musical elements that make it "Team Fortress 2" (with necessary credentials to make such analysis) and 2) discuss the genres, franchises, and/or artist referenced by each piece.  If it was done with academic quality, but with lay readability and not much technical detail, ''and not Trivia'', that I would appreciate and read.

: I lack the credentials.  There are some (most) pieces that haunt me.  ''The Calm'' is IMO homage to not just the Spaghetti Western but to [[w:Ennio Morricone]] specifically (thinking specific movies even) and then ''Robots'' references [[w:Danny Elfman]].  Compare ''Three Days to Live'' with [[w:The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974 film)]].  I remember something in the soundtrack making me think of [[w:The Battle of Algiers ]], maybe it was in ''Red Bread''.  The first 40 seconds of ''Stink Lines'' I am feeling "I’ve seen that movie." (this first 20 sec; ''Burning Bridges'' from ''Kelly’s Heroes''.

: Ideally, no original research, citing Mike Morasky or article about him would be great!

: Forgive me if that is not what you (or others) want. [[User:Mikado282|Mikado282]] ([[User talk:Mikado282|talk]]) 19:46, 7 May 2017 (PDT) 20:00, 7 May 2017 (PDT)

I noticed the scans of the CD on the page are significantly low quality. I went ahead and scanned my own versions and they turned out way better. I have a link to them if anyone is interested!
