The Festive Winter Crate is a tool item released in the December 10, 2010 Patch, which seems to drop the same way normal crates do.  It is shown as a Mann Co. Supply Crate decorated with snow and a wreath made of holly.

This crate cannot be opened with the normal Mann Co. Supply Crate Key. To open the crate, you will need a Festive Winter Crate Key purchased from the Mann Co. Store that was released in conjunction with the Australian Christmas event, or a Stocking Stuffer Key that was given to all players for free in the December 22, 2010 Patch. It is set to expire on December 31, 2010, at which point the crate will disappear.
