Merge to: Pumpkin Bombs (halloween spell)

Proposal: Merge Squash Rockets, Gourd Grenades, and Sentry Quad-Pumpkins to a single page as all three tools preform the same function, applying the Pumpkin Bombs spell to weapons, the difference lies in what weapons each tool can be applied to.

There is precedent in such tools sharing a same page to avoid redundancy, such as Paint Cans and Killstreak Kits. Much of the information on the pages is the same, the update history, the notes, bugs (with some minor differences that can easily be reconciled), and trivia.

Most of the updates regarding spells applies to all of them, especially regarding their tradability and availability, this currently requires the updates be applied to all 27 pages for the spells which frequently leaves them un-updated following patches. Merging these 3 pages into a single page would help in maintaining these pages following updates. Likewise the argument could be made for the merging of other spells too, but I feel proposing a single merge would be better for discussion then several scattered merge proposals so I am currently only putting this proposal up. - Tasty Salamanders (talk) 21:16, 7 May 2016 (PDT)

I put together a demo page for it: User:Tasty Salamanders/Pumpkin Bombs (halloween spell). Feel free to make any improvements to it if you wish. - Tasty Salamanders (talk) 05:22, 8 May 2016 (PDT)

I an adding to this old post mostly to prove that I read it. Tasty Salamanders' proposed article preserves the Bugs that are not bugs and Trivia that is not trivia. Yes, the three articles have much the same content (the effects on the Magic Spells seem to be identical), but I am not sure a merge is worth the effort. Move to "Squash Rockets (Halloween [S/s]pell)"

"Halloween" is a proper noun because it is a holiday: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halloween

Also, it may be worth considering the texts "Halloween [S/s]pell(s)" in the tf_english.txt file to judge the best approach. When it is the name of the tool item, it's "Halloween Spell", but in normal text it is "Halloween spell" (see TF_HalloweenSpell_ _Desc strings).

If this is approved, the same should be done for all other effects here too: Halloween spell. (The type list uses "Halloween Spell", but the actual page names of the tools are XXXX (halloween spell)".)
