"The boots reduce the push force the player recieves from certain damage sources such as Stickybombs by 75%."

Are we positive that's what it does? Because to me, those stats read "a reduction in the reduction of knockback" IE, it actually increases knockback. Also, it's a weapon made for stomping people, it would seem odd that it would pretty much make Rocket Jumping impossible for only a very minor additional ability. Balladofwindfishes 18:19, 22 June 2011 (PDT)

That would make the goomba stomping more effective, but we'll probably have to wait to find out. Leaderboard class soldier.pngJust a Gigolo - (talk) 06:48, 23 June 2011 (PDT)
Yea, I think we'll just have to wait and see. Valve needs to stop using confusing wording on weapons :/ Balladofwindfishes 06:52, 23 June 2011 (PDT)

Since the update is live, is this statement still accurate? And if it is, does it also decrease knockback from rocket jumping? Either way, this should probably be clarified in the article. Anzallos 21:40, 26 June 2011 (PDT)

I think it means you're less vulnerable to knockback from enemy weapons, not your own. --Cooper Kid (Blether · Contreebs) 04:13, 27 June 2011 (PDT)
I tested them. When I rocket jump, I fly higher. I'm not sure though. I was using direct hit.--FactCore 13:39, 27 June 2011 (PDT)

Goomba Mod

Since certain pages such as the Detonator list mods that have some relevance to the weapon's ability, should we not mention the Goomba mod that made similar use of the 'land on enemy and do damage' ability?--Focusknock 02:17, 4 July 2011 (PDT)

30 damage bug still active?

I saw the bug of the mantreads only doing 30 damage max no matter if 3x the fall damage is more than that was removed. I have just tested it minuets ago and the bug is still there. Am I missing how this item works? Themrcool54, 17 July 2011

I see that as a major bug. If the weapon is told to do 3X the fall damage to the player landed on, but it only does 30 even if it is higher, then that is a lie. If now valve will fix this, that is. Altair 17:13, 22 July 2011 (PDT)
It seems there's an odd way they calculate damage, as when you get to insane fall distances, it does extremely high damage, but it seems like it stays at 30 for a long time before moving onto the next bracket of damage Balladofwindfishes 17:16, 22 July 2011 (PDT)
I tested with my brother in arena_watchtower. 30 damage bug doesn't still.

I've seen frag videos of Soldier's killing full health classes in one hit from very high jumps, and I've been questioning the validity of this bug for awhile now. Balladofwindfishes 08:54, 27 July 2011 (PDT)
It used to do that for me, now it's the proper damage. Might have been a patch. Will run more tests later, see if I can't find a trigger. Clank 04:01, 29 July 2011 (PDT)

Soldier fall damage

I noticed that when Soldier with Mantreads lands on someone, he (Soldier) doesn't take fall damage at all. I decided to test it with my friend, and it happened to be true. Should someone add this to article? Undead 05:28, 10 August 2011 (PDT)

Originally submitted as a medieval community update weapon

These boots were submitted originally as a medieval weapon for the Medieval Update. Should this be noted as trivia? Balladofwindfishes 18:55, 10 September 2011 (PDT)

I thought that they were part of a set that the user submitted to Valve individually. Who's your source? Painted Vintage Merryweather 803020.pngFyahweather 19:10, 10 September 2011 (PDT)
The bowels of whatever Emporium he started working on the boots in. Probably around February. I'd find the specific source if people thought this was trivia worthy. Balladofwindfishes 06:18, 11 September 2011 (PDT)

mantreads stomp damage...

I'm referring to self damage from the fall.

I found this video and it clearly shows that the soldier died from the fall damage that he took when he stomped the pyro. look at the killcam if you don't believe it.

so apparently, in a previous version, you took fall damage from a successful stomp. I dont know when they changed it, but i originally discovered it after the September 15, 2011 Patch Firehazard42 BLU Napper's Respite.png 13:45, 24 January 2012 (PST)

Strange Ranks

I am thinking that listing the unique ranks that the Strange Mantreads would only make sense, seeing that the spirit of giving has its ranks listed on its page as well. scourgething 23:51, 23 March 2012 (CET)

Mantreads Crit/Mini Crit?

Does anyone know if a Soldier can deliver crit or mini crit damage with the Mantreads?

Say a Kritzkrieg Medic ubers a Soldier wearing Mantreads as both of them jump down on an enemy. General Veers 09:01, 23 April 2012 (PDT)

Mantreads cannot use the Robots Destroyed or Robots Destroyed on Halloween parts.

Been too long since I did any wiki work, don't remember how to change things or I'd change it myself.

-- Henry Spencer Backpack Gentleman's Gatsby.png 21:20, 1 June 2013 (PDT)

EDIT: This is actually a bug. You can do damage to/kill robots in MVM with the Mantreads.

Fall damage modifiers?

Is this weapon subject to fall damage modifiers? Such as, say, if you're on a randomizer server, and get this with the pocket pistol, or other weapon that reduces/negates fall damage. Would the treads do what you would have taken before the resistance, or will they do no damage? Jimfromtx (talk) 01:01, 24 November 2013 (PST)

Exponential Damage - Where would it go?

So I was messing around with the Mantreads the other day and found out that if Soldiers wearing Mantreads are stacked on top of each other, the damage will increase rapidly very quickly. I want to make note of this on this page but I am not sure where it goes. Proof: Bmkw97 (talk) 16:09, 2 June 2014 (PDT)

We're not noting this as it would never happen in actual game play. So its not notable. Ashes (talk) 16:42, 2 June 2014 (PDT)
Just wondering why, if its not notable, is it recorded in bugs? Keoki97 (talk) 13:35, 1 October 2014 (PDT)
Someone added it recently and nobody got around to removing it, I'll do it now. --Omolong (talk) 13:38, 1 October 2014 (PDT)

"Being able to deal damage to multiple enemies at the same time" being rm'd constantly

Seems like another case of triviaphobia to me. Unlikely to happen =/= impossible to happen. User Zabidenu sig.png (contribstalk) 13:40, 21 December 2014 (PST)
