The Soldier

Grordbort's Crash is a comic released on July 20, 2011 to coincide with the release of Dr. Grordbort's Victory Pack. Grordbort's Crash documents the story of how the RED Soldier happened to stumble upon the weapons released in the patch on July 20, 2011 Patch.

Synopsis

The comic begins with the Soldier reminiscing some war stories with his close friends, revealed to be cardboard cutouts, at a tea party. The Soldier's stories are interrupted when a strange object falls out of the sky. The Soldier, identifying it as a missile, takes it upon himself to throw himself onto the object to save his squad. He finds out, however, that it is not a missile, but a crash-landed rocket. The Soldier also finds, to his pleasure, that the rocket is full of guns. Armed with this new information and weaponry, the Soldier exclaims that he is off to join the "Space Marines".

Trivia

  • The line "Pack up the tea, boys! We're joining the Space Marines!" is likely a reference to the Doom series of video games.
