The P.D.Q. is a scrapped melee weapon for the Engineer that was tested in the closed beta. The P.D.Q. does not possess a unique model, texture or animations, and appears identical to the stock Wrench. The P.D.Q. does not have the ability to be used to upgrade buildings, and instead increases the Engineer's rate of construction by 150% while wrenching the building.

The P.D.Q. appears to have evolved into the Gunslinger, which can deploy a non-upgradeable Combat Mini-Sentry at 4x the normal sentry build rate, while still allowing other buildings to be upgraded. It may have also led to the creation of the stats of the Jag, which has a similar construction rate boost while wrenching ability, but can also still upgrade buildings.

Trivia

  • The name is a reference to the abbreviated acronym for "Pretty Damn Quick", alternatively "Pretty Darn Quick" or "Please Do Quickly", sometimes appended to the end of an instruction or command to communicate urgency.
