Every also User gets [[Special:MyPage|their own]] ''User page'' with the "User:" prefix, followed by their username. By adding a "/" to the end of the URL of one's User page, it allows Users to create their own subpages on the User space to practise their Wiki skills and become more familiar with the interface. These custom User space pages are also commonly used for [[w:Wikipedia:About the sandbox|sandboxes]] (visit your own [[Special:MyPage/Sandbox|here]]), to-do lists, or other meta topics. There are a few exceptions in which other users are allowed to edit your User pages:

* Users are allowed to change the link to files when necessary, such as when it uses a redirect that needs to be removed or when it breaks the User images guidelines.

* Users are allowed to edit User (space) pages that mimic the look of official pages to add <nowiki>__NOINDEX__</nowiki>.

* Users are allowed to remove mainspace categories from User space pages, this includes hiding templates (such as [[Template:Translation switching]]).

User pages are pages located in the user namespace, prefixed by User:. User pages are commonly used for sandboxes (visit your own here), to-do lists, or other meta topics. There are three types of "user pages" that comprise your user space:

  • User page: your Wiki profile (User:YourName).
  • Talk page: your message board (User talk:YourName).
  • User subpages: additional user pages that exist within your user space (User:YourName/Sandbox, User:YourName/Loadout, etc.).

As these pages are not articles documenting official content, many of the existing style guides do not apply to them. By default, only you have editing rights for pages in your user space, unless specified otherwise using this template. However, other users are allowed to remove or fix content in your user space that violates Wiki policies and guidelines.

Guidelines

  • User pages should be relevant to the Team Fortress Wiki or related work.
  • User pages should not contain categories that are intended for use on the main namespace. Some examples of this are Category:Background and Category:Weapons. For sandbox pages, hiding these categories can be done using comments (<!-- text here -->) or nowiki tags (<nowiki>text here</nowiki>).
  • User pages should not host content intended for external use or content that violate Wiki policies. If you believe that your page has value, consider asking if it belongs in the main namespace instead.
  • User pages that are used to document custom weapons, game modes, maps, or otherwise that mimic the style of official pages should have __NOINDEX__ included somewhere on the page.

If your page is ugly, User:GrampaSwood is allowed to delete it.
