Bold text==Featured Articles== In the future, please refrain from changing the main page randomly like that. If you read the Featured article candidates page, you will note that there is a specific process for doing so. Specifically that a consensus on whether or not the article is worthy must be reached. If you take a look at the dispenser section of that page, you will note that there are no support comments, and I did not change the article over :P When an article is approved I'll change it, you won't have to, as there are few other things I need to do in addition to just adding it to the front page. Thanks ^_^ -- WanderingFox (Talk • Contribs) 11:55, 12 January 2008 (CST)

Appologies i though id gone back and undone it after seeing the featured article submission page--markdeadlydavis 05:39, 13 January 2008 (CST)
No worries, it's a new system, just wanted to clarify it. Feel free to comment on the dispenser section once the changes have been made, and I'll take another look at it :P -- WanderingFox (Talk • Contribs) 10:42, 13 January 2008 (CST)

With Friends Like these

Anyone fancy another stab at this ?? im short a few friends (billy no mates) but if set an event up ? i could host it on a dedicated server at home if you like ?--mark"d"davis 09:04, 23 January 2008 (CST)

Give me a shout on steam if you need some more players, I'll join you. You might be able to arrange a date and schedule an event in our steam group, don't know how to do this though, possibly only Nos can do that? --Aurora 09:11, 23 January 2008 (CST)
By the way, might be better to post this on the achievements discussion page, I only picked it up because I was looking at the recent changes. --Aurora 09:20, 23 January 2008 (CST)
I'd be up for it again, no problem. =D--Wilsonator 09:26, 23 January 2008 (CST)

buff

I hope I do not rankle you by moving the buff text to the general Medic article. It just didn't seem right to have the discussion behind one article and the associated article text in another. This might be the first time that I significantly messed with someone else's edits; please don't think ill of me! If it's reverted, I'll abide. Thanks! --Wipnum 19:49, 2 February 2008 (CST)

to be honest i did not know where it fitted best either being edited is part of wiki life --mark"d"davis 04:33, 3 February 2008 (CST)

Custom map template

Ive tried really hard to use it but cant add anything grr the edit page shows different stuff to the viewable page, ive read the docs followed them and up with carp help please

well ive got it now but its not too clear on how to do this--mark"d"davis 10:13, 15 February 2008 (CST)
Are you talking to yourself again Mark? might have been an idea to post on Nos, mine, or Wanderfox's page. Anyway, are you still stuck? --Aurora 11:59, 15 February 2008 (CST)
does duel 2 look ok if yes i dont need help if no then yes i do lol i know you track recent changes just like i do if i got no reply then id of posted on your page but thats the way you learn by trying things out --mark"d"davis 14:00, 15 February 2008 (CST)
Periods man, periods! You sound like you're hopped up on caffeine :P --WanderingFox (Talk • Contribs) 14:28, 15 February 2008 (CST)
Mostly yeah, I changed a few things which you've probably seen. Yes I do track changes but I have it setup as an RSS feed and if I'm not at my desk I sometimes miss them. I don't actively keep refreshing the wiki's recent changes page while sit at work, I do have to do some work occasionally :P --Aurora 14:38, 15 February 2008 (CST)

Escalated Privileges

You have been suggested as someone I should consider giving some escalated privileges to. Right now, if you look at Administrators you'll see the kind of permission we have. I'll remain the only "sysop" at least fo the time being. Are you interested? Please swing by my talk page and let me know either way in the Escalated Privilege Candidate Responses section. Thanks. --Nos 10:37, 4 March 2008

Image licensing

Hello fellow TF2 Wiki editors. If you read this message before, forget what I wrote. I've just completed all the license templates and while doing research I found the Mediawiki software has a built in license function so there's no need for you to bother typing all the gunk in. You can now select the license when uploading images (however it's not enforced). I've also been digging through legal documents and found that in the Canadian Copyright Act a 'fair dealing' policy exists (similar to the UK fair dealing policy, a bit like the US 'fair use' policy but not as flexible) which can probably be used for all screenshots from TF2 (although I'm no legal expert so should anything go to court - it wasn't me, nobody saw me do it).

Thanks, --Aurora 16:07, 10 March 2008 (CDT) [updated --Aurora 21:19, 10 March 2008 (CDT)]

Mailing List

Finally setup an admin mailing list... sign up here: http://mailman.tf2wiki.net/mailman/listinfo/wikiadmins/ Please put your Wiki user name in the name field somewhere. For example, I did "Andrew Kerr (Nos)". --Nos 19:08, 11 March 2008 (CST)

Congratulations! Please Respond

The staff have been asked By Robin Walker to provide a list of frequent and active editors who we feel deserve to recieve community weapons for their work on the wiki, and you're on the list! We just need your SteamID so they can find your account and backpack and you can expect a surprise in your backpack sometime within the week. --Wilsonator 21:17, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Grats mate, Join the club. :) Smashman 17:09, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Ah, you get the most played class' weapon, which would probably be the flamethrower. I'm not sure if you can specify, but I'm willing to wait until you catch up the Soldier's time. Perhaps you could idle as a Soldier for a bit? I'm sure it'd be ok in this circumstance at least. --Wilsonator 20:36, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Ive just finished getting pyromancer and reset my stats, idling as a soldier right now neeed another 18 hours so Sat and Sun should do it ill post when its higher than pyro chees for the offer--mark"d"davis 07:33, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
All done solly is back to being most played at 37 plus hours --mark"d"davis 13:34, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
