MISC page?

Shouldn't this be on the chart for the misc items page instead? Cranberry Jerk 20:51, 27 June 2012 (PDT)

Then how come the other misc items have their own page. But i'll add this misc item to the misc page, if i'm able to. SpongeCraft1212 21:40, 27 June 2012 (PDT)
I'd just move it there. Also, why does it say craft #? Isn't it drop only? Cranberry Jerk 06:22, 28 June 2012 (PDT)

More Info

I just edited the page a bit. I removed the unreleased tag because you can get it now and I updated the item info. I also uploaded the item icon. But this is still a stub. SpongeCraft1212 19:17, 27 June 2012 (PDT)

Apparently all they do is swap the models on health kits and ammo boxes (to slices of cake and ammo boxes with bows, respectively). Not really that interesting. At the very least there could have been a cutesy texture-replacement and other model swaps (barrels to giant marshmallows, etc.) --Draco18s 19:21, 27 June 2012 (PDT)

If you play with the glasses more, you'll notice changes. All voices that you hear (not the voice chat or yourself) is high pitched and hurt sounds are high pitched laughters. And look at the kill icons, you'll notice something WAY different there. SpongeCraft1212 19:41, 27 June 2012 (PDT)
Dustbowl had texture changes; Sawmill did not. I didn't check to see what other Valve maps did/didn't have texture swaps. --Color Printer 19:46, 27 June 2012 (PDT)
Target (training map) doesn't have any changed textures, maybe because you're automatically a soldier when you join the map. Target_WeaponRef (weapon refrence) doesn't have changed textures and it's the same as Target. SpongeCraft1212 19:52, 27 June 2012 (PDT)
Nevermind, had the spectating option on. SpongeCraft1212 22:09, 27 June 2012 (PDT)
@SpongeCraft I think it's because you're defaulted to a regular loadout with stock weapons and no hats/items whatsoever. It wouldn't be required to do that. Why waste the time to? Also, I found a revenge line, first to do so on the Wiki that has proof it happened.Mass.Led^10(talk - contribs) 20:29, 27 June 2012 (PDT)
Oh. But the item server was down for 2 time now. SpongeCraft1212 20:38, 27 June 2012 (PDT)
I'm pretty sure maps have to be made to support pyrovision. it doesn't just change textures & models on it's own.
Dear all of you, please use ":" (Colon) instead of "----" (4 minus signs) because it makes another wiki user hard to read and edit. User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Hinaomi (talk) - (contributions) 05:54, 8 July 2012 (PDT)

Need help on image

I've just discovered a new revenge line, however, it's hard for me to add it correctly on the page. Can anyone do that for me? --MassLed^10 20:15, 27 June 2012 (PDT)

The changes to the ammo and health pack models are not bugs. Nor the balloons or confetti or high voices. Perhaps we should list all the changes that the goggles create, and all the maps with texture swaps? Gearbox 22:25, 27 June 2012 (PDT)z

Also, Pyrovision isn't fully supported on anyone running Direct X8. You get the audio changes, health kit changes, ammo box changes, and light changes, but you don't get to see the grass or lolly-pop flowers. NeoSlith 09:33, 28 June 2012 (PDT)

High-pitched voices

"Although the voices of the players around the wearer are high pitched, the voice of the wearer's is not."

Should this be considered a bug instead of trivia? It would make sense if the wearer also experienced a higher pitched voice, but I'm not so sure. If it's not considered a bug, I don't think it should be listed as trivia as it's not very interesting. Dogspajamas 23:53, 27 June 2012 (PDT)
I think it's intentional. Remember in Meet the Pyro, Pyro's voice was normal in his world, but everyone else sounded like babies to him. Redjarman 14:48, 25 July 2012 (PDT)

Burning corpses while in Pyroland

Is it worth noting that if you have the burning corpses command active while wearing the Pyrovision Goggles, even though fire turns into pixie dust, dead bodies will still have the fire texture? Masterlegodude 06:03, 28 June 2012 (PDT)

Pyrovision only works on certain maps. "arena_badlands.bsp" "ctf_2fort.bsp" "cp_badlands.bsp" "cp_dustbowl.bsp" "cp_gravelpit.bsp" "koth_badlands.bsp" "koth_viaduct.bsp" "plr_hightower.bsp" "pl_badwater.bsp" "pl_goldrush.bsp" "sd_doomsday.bsp"

This important enough to add? Untouch 07:34, 28 June 2012 (PDT)

Would rather this list stay in Pyroland. 07:36, 28 June 2012 (PDT)

I was given the Vintage Goggles, but also ended up with a Unique Pair. Has this happened to anyone else? NeoSlith 09:30, 28 June 2012 (PDT)

I believe this occurs because you A.) get the Vintage pair for logging in, and B.) get a Unique pair for the domination achievement. Will-T 10:28, 28 June 2012 (PDT)
Are you serious? That's the greatest thing I've ever heard. You can give that copy to your friend after 7/11/2012 if he didn't get one. SpongeCraft1212 11:48, 28 June 2012 (PDT)
But the Unique one you get for Dominating is an achievement item and can't be traded. I don't think you want to give up a Vintage item either when your friend can earn one by Dominating someone else who's wearing it. NeoSlith 13:10, 28 June 2012 (PDT) 12:40, 28 June 2012 (PDT)
Oh, and you forgot your name. SpongeCraft1212 12:42, 28 June 2012 (PDT)
Strange, I swear I marked it... NeoSlith 13:10, 28 June 2012 (PDT)
Should this be included in the article? As trivia, perhaps? —BobMathrotus (talk) 09:01, 12 July 2012 (PDT)
We don't include that we can have a Vintage Pickelhaube & a Unique one in the same respects that we can have both a Vintage and Unique pair of Goggles. User Wingless Winged Signature.png 09:04, 12 July 2012 (PDT)

Support for other maps

If you look in the gcf and go to the cfg folder, you'll see "mtp.cfg". If you open it, it'll tell you all of the supported maps. You can add maps as well but it'll only change the supported tf textures and it won't change custom textures. SpongeCraft1212 12:44, 28 June 2012 (PDT)

Random Drop

I just found them as a random drop. No, not the vintage one and not the untradeable one. A normal pair of goggles which can be traded and is not vintage. Thought I'd let you know ;) StPerkele 16:28, 28 June 2012 (PDT)

That's the domination copy. SpongeCraft1212 16:41, 28 June 2012 (PDT)

No, it isn't. As I said, it is tradeable. As a matter of fact, I have three goggles now and only one of them is vintage. StPerkele 17:11, 28 June 2012 (PDT)

Confirmed. I just got a third through a random drop, which gives me three pairs as well. CueV 20:28, 28 June 2012 (PDT)

More bugs?

Equipping pyrovision seems to make the steel sheets (or whatever they are) invisible when looked at from the bridge things in koth_viaduct. In other words, they are only visible when looking at them from the center-of-the-map side of them. If you look at them from the spawn side of them, they do not show up. This is very annoying when you're sniper and using this bridge as your hiding spot. Is this just me? Can anyone confirm this bug? —BobMathrotus 17:47, 28 June 2012 (PDT)

Yeah, also happens on 2Fort with the metal panels on the left side of the balcony. Extreme creme 22:12, 28 June 2012 (PDT)
That's fixed. SpongeCraft1212 22:13, 28 June 2012 (PDT)
Pretty sure it's only fixed for 2fort. I played Viaduct shortly after that update and it was still bugged. Might've been hotfixed since then though. Anyone confirm? —BobMathrotus 08:00, 4 July 2012 (PDT)

Achievement and Unique Bugs

Hey, another bug. I have a Vintage pair, dominate a guy who has a pair, get the achievement, and get NORMAL GOGGLES. THEY AREN'T UNIQUE. WHY? And, does anybody else have this problem? P.S. I still have my vintage pair. --JezzDawga 00:48, 2 July 2012 (PDT)

Possible Trivia?

It is possible to earn the achievement, and the goggles by extension, by dominating an enemy Spy who is disguised as someone wearing the goggles, but not wearing it themselves. DarkQuill 22:00, 3 July 2012 (PDT)

Some official maps bugged while viewing in Pyrovision.

During an attempt to fire at an enemy while on a wooden bridge in koth_viaduct, I noticed that something was blocking my attack. As I run to the side of the cliff near the capture point, I can see that where I was standing, it had a metal reinforcement piece in front. It's invisible when looking from the bridge but isn't when looking at the bridge in the opposite direction.

I can assume other maps (besides ctf_2fort and sd_doomsday) too have some of these invisible materials. { <3 SpriteFan3 © } 06:08, 8 July 2012 (PDT)

It was indeed fixed in 2fort in a recent patch. It seems they forgot to patch it in viaduct, however. I believe that is all, though, since Pyrovision isn't actually meant to work in ALL maps, just the official ones (even then, not all of them); and I believe viaduct and 2fort are the only two ones with such metal sheets. Also, I wish you had just added to this instead of starting a new topic: Pyrovision_Goggles#More_bugs.3F... —BobMathrotus (talk) 12:57, 9 July 2012 (PDT)
Not at all, and that bug isn't from this item itself but from Pyroland. I think you shouldn't add at any page for now is the best choice
And for BobMathrotus, I undo your edit because it isn't necessary but you revert it back. Please read Style Guide before revert any edits. Also your user page is User:BobMathrotus. Please be careful next time. User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Hinaomi (talk) - (contributions) 09:08, 12 July 2012 (PDT)
What exactly are you talking about? Not only is this completely irrelevant to the current topic, but I don't even know what edit you're talking about. Do you have something against me? Stop bothering me with your off-topic complaints. And I'm well aware what my user page is... What the hell. —BobMathrotus (talk) 09:41, 12 July 2012 (PDT)
The edit I was talking is this, it's not necessary to put you can get 2 googles. And your User page was this before I edited. 09:45, 12 July 2012 (PDT)
I didn't do that edit though. As for my user page, that's strange. I didn't change my signature in that regard. All I did was add a link to my talk page. I don't see why "User:" would be missing. —BobMathrotus (talk) 10:29, 12 July 2012 (PDT)

hi, for some reason,if i wear the goggles with the mann co hat, my hat doesn't appear. and if i wear it with no hat on (just the one you start out with) people cant see my goggles. why is this? Mikeydude00 07:02, 13 July 2012 (PDT)mikeydude00

Engie costume

The Engineer's fly costume already makes his voice high pitched. If you play with someone wearing it while you have the Pyrovision Goggles on, does it get even higher? Redjarman 14:50, 25 July 2012 (PDT)
