Team Fortress Wiki:Archived discussions/Category talk:Frontline Project images
Deletion
Naturally, I didn’t think it was such a bad idea; a huge pet peeve of mine is how terribly underorganized the Image categories are, so as to be practically meaningless and useless in many situations.
The concept may be analogous to Category:Community event images for Category:Community events. (but yes, I don’t see item images included, but could be expanded).
I would rather suggest putting Category:Mayann Project images and Category:Frontline Project images into the Category:Images hierarchy, which was an oversight on my part when creating the category. Maybe it Category:Mayann Project images and Category:Frontline Project images are relatively unimportant categories, but it is certainly not harmfull in any way to the wiki, and I, like their parent categories, I set them up as an opportunity for any new editor to cut their category teeth on.
Personally, I think there is some importance to having at least a category for each, so the sum total contribution of each project can be seen. Given that, I also think it appropriate to have image categories for broader categories; (e.g., Category:Administrator images, Category:Yeti images, Category:Art Pass Contest images, and Category:Heavy images). If the category is deleted, at least tag the images for the parent categories.
Should Category:Mayann Project and Category:Frontline Project be added/moved to Category:Community events? Were any Community events be added to Category:Community content projects?
