About Kapitan's Kaftan paint pictures.

Hi, first off, we, as a community, thank you for your work and time put into making images like these. However, there's something about these pictures that must be fixed on a new revision.
The Kapitan's Kaftan's material files erroneously has a string for "$color2" on "sum19_kapitans_kaftan_1.vmt". "$color2" is the value that HLMV reads for paint values, but not in Team Fortress 2. This string causes the golden trimmings to look much darker than it should. Sadly, your paint variant pics are showing this issue. You can see the Heavy image on the Infobox, that's how it should look and how it looks when removing "$color2" from "sum19_kapitans_kaftan_1.vmt".
Because the paint variant pics doesn't reflect how it shows in-game, remaking them will be required.
You can ask any questions regarding this issue to me, before doing a new batch of paint variant pics.
We thank you again for your efforts. User Gabrielwoj Signature Icon.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 22:43, 17 August 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for letting me know, in hindsight I should have checked before getting all the pictures and uploading them. I just loaded the model into HLMV and changed the .vmt file like you said and now the gold is the light colour it should be. I'll get all the images with this change and replace them on the wiki page ASAP. Again, thank you!

Alright, nice. If you allow me to, I'd also like to mention something regarding your Wagga Wagga Wear pictures.

Well, first things first, they look nice. However, some paint variant pictures requires to show some of the default class model on them. At the moment, your WWW pictures were made just with the cosmetic's model alone. You'll need to download a pack that makes class models only appear certain parts. They're all available here. For Sniper shirt items, you should use this one: www(.)mediafire(.)com/download/c318sul2lxw2rw1/sniper_shirt_materials.zip (had to modify the URL otherwise I couldn't post it).

It's important to show the default class' models when it's an item that "attaches" to the model. We do this for beard items as well, you can see throughout the Wiki, all the beard images has the class' head on their previews.

` You can check existing paint variants for Sniper shirt items to see how they should look like.

Because the Kapitan's Kaftan is a cosmetic that COVERS the entire Heavy chest, they don't need any of these steps. User Gabrielwoj Signature Icon.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 23:17, 17 August 2019 (UTC)

I'll be sure to do that when soon and when I get it figured out. I've updated all the Kaftan images so they should be good now. Thank you for the advice!

Hello, it looks like you forgot to upload the RED Waterlogged Lab Coat image. Also, please use {{subst:pid}} in the comments field when uploading a painted image variant.
That will automatically apply licensing for you.
One more thing; When you finish uploading the painted variants, please add your rots/trans/lightrots/fov (you can find those in regedit under Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\hlmv\)
used to here Template:Painted_variants/Tutorial/Rotations.
That way in case we need to update the images for any reason, we have that information to keep it consistent.
Good work on those images! User Gadddy Sig2.pngUser Gadddy Sig.png 02:50, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
