This sentence of the machina has been removed: "The fully charged shot is best for aiming at the bodies [not the head] of clustered enemies, as a fully charged headshot from the Sniper Rifle can already instantly kill an overhealed Heavy.". Please don't reopen this unless you don't agree with my review (see history of this thread). -- Zatiranyk (talk) 13:39, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

This sentance of the machina should be reviewed in my opinion: "The fully charged shot is best for aiming at the bodies [not the head] of clustered enemies, as a fully charged headshot from the Sniper Rifle can already instantly kill an overhealed Heavy."

  • First, I think this comparison with the Sniper Rifle is pointless. Yes, you deal 518 damage instead of 450 against a 450 fully healed heavy. It could have been a 1000 damage headshot, what's the matter if it kills him? I hope you won't tell me that because of the side-effects of the machina, we can't kill heavies anymore… What's more, when they are healed by a vaccinator not uber-charged, the 518 damage is very useful because it DOES one shot them while a regular rifle would have not !
  • Secondly, I don't think the fully charged shot should be reserved to bodyshot of multiple targets. It is for sure very effective if you manage to perform that kind of shot, but in reality, it is pretty rare. The most important is to emphasize on the context. If there are like 8 enemies in a small place, yes, maybe try to aim the body to get the maximum amount of targets. If there is only 2, I would rather make sure one of them die with a headshot like a heavy instead of doing a poor -175 damage on him and miss his medic behind. And if it's a pyro or medic then I will try the bodyshot and hope by luck that the penetration hits another enemy. I think it's best to guarantee one enemy kill instead of risk and try the double shot in general.
