Hello, Tango935!
Welcome to the Official Team Fortress Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page, you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- You can use the
button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
- If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
- When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Tango935 to the file's name.
- Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Tango935/ to the page title when you create the page.
Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress Wiki!

On your recent translations
Hello, Tango935.
I've noticed several mistakes in your recent translations, some of which occur over multiple articles. I recommend you read the translation help page when you have the time, as well as take a look at previous existing translations to learn established translations to common terms and sentences and the general TF Wiki style.
However, if Spanish is not your first language (I cannot say for sure, as you don't provide a way to tell on either your user page or Steam profile), then I ask you to please leave translation work to native speakers.
Cheers. - BrazilianNut (talk) 17:26, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello there BrazilianNut,
- Thank you for your recent remarks about my translations. I'll be making sure to mark my next translations with the correct templates, as some (if not most) still need to be polished, you could say that some parts are more of a placeholder than a fully fledged translation. I'll also be making use of other fully translated pages more as a way of reference. However, marking some of these pages that I've translated with the template for translation seems like an overreaction, since all they need is fixing the grammar/syntax, and rewriting some lines, but as a whole they are fully translated, just not "correctly".
- Oh and going a little off-topic here: I wouldn't discourage people from making contributions/translations even if it's not in their native language, especially in an environment like this. People can still make valuable contributions, even in a foreign language —just like yourself.
- While I do edit articles in multiple languages, I only do what I know is within my capabilities. For example, I can speak Spanish, but I don't speak it fluently, so I'm not going to translate a complex article to ES; I might, however, translate a basic disambiguation page or update an existing article that's just missing a simple sentence that I know how to translate (such as trivia like "This item is based on [character] from [movie]"). If I know there is something outdated/wrong in an article and I'm either uncertain that I can update/fix it or certain that I cannot, though, then I'll just add the appropriate templates to it (which is what I did with the articles you translated - I added
{{correction}}
to the ones where I spotted some sort of grammatical mistake and only added{{trans}}
to the ones that still had untranslated things. - BrazilianNut (talk) 07:07, 14 March 2025 (UTC)

Trans template usage
Hi there,
I noticed you added {{trans}}
to a bunch of articles. Note that this template should be used for when you are actively translating the article. If you wish to mark one for updating, use {{update trans}}
instead. | s | GrampaSwood
