This article lists currently unreleased content that is assumed to be released by the end of Team Fortress 2's life.

Unreleased Meet the Team videos

There are two unreleased Meet the Team videos expected for release. They are Meet the Pyro and Meet the Medic. As revealed in an interview with Robin Walker by the podcast Kritzkast, Meet the Pyro will be a look at the world through the Pyro's eyes.

Trading system

On numerous occasions, such as in the September 2, 2009 blog post, a trading system had been promised.

Robin Walker has stated in an email that the reason for the delay is that the Steam team, rather than the TF2 team, is responsible for the technical side of implementing a trading system - and they have been busy with the Steam 2010 user interface updates, as well as other tasks such as TF2's Mac integration.

Collectible statues

The IP Factory will be releasing a line of limited edition 12 inch Team Fortress 2 collector's statues. Currently all classes bar the Heavy are pending release. Pre-orders of these statues went live on the 3rd of May 2010. They will be available in Q4 of 2010.

Polycount update

After breaking into Polycount's office, Valve has organized a TF2 item modeling contest in association with Polycount. The results will be announced July 12th (with a promise of no use of Valve Time) and the winners will see their items (hats, weapons, etc) integrated into the game.

Class/Other Major Updates for the Xbox 360 Version

The last official mention of any class/other major updates (containing new items, maps, etc.) for the Xbox 360 version of Team Fortress 2 was on April 2, 2009. There are two main reasons as to why the content has not been released. Firstly, due to reaching or coming close to reaching the memory limit that the Xbox 360 possesses. Secondly, due to the fees Microsoft have put in place for adding content to games, using Microsoft's very own Live on-line market store. These fees have been calculated and estimated to cost Valve over one hundred thousand dollars to update the Xbox 360 version of Team Fortress 2, in the same manner and fashion that the PC version has received the class and patch updates. Therefore, some expect the updates and patches to be released for the Xbox 360 once Valve has finished and finalized all of the class updates, therefore allowing them to group all of the updates and patches in one large group and content update, though it seems highly unlikely.

New demo format

Robin Walker has discussed a new system for recording demos, where a player can request a recording from the server at the end of a life or round. The plan is for the format to be "More robust" so the demos will not become unplayable as easily as the current system when the game is updated.[1] Another goal is to allow people to easily share their videos on video sharing sites.[2]
