Since it was modelled by Telltale, and used as a cross-promotion, does that in fact mean it qualifies as "community contributed?" I saw that someone just added it to that category, but didn't want to revert it if they were correct. Mar 21:19, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Its not community contributed. As you say, it was created by Telltale Games and given to Valve. While therefore contributed, that doesn't make it community contributed, which implies that it was made by the TF2 modding community. -- Sabre 01:34, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

Is This Trivia?

"*According to TF2items.com statistics, Max's Severed Head is most wanted hat in the game (as of 27/10/2010)."
I don't think this is trivia, nor should even be considered a factual representation of hat want. Serg 22:59, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Values are variable. I mean A LOT. We shouldn't put this in trivia. It might just be the least common hat or something. Pierow 09:13, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

Vintage

I have heard it sworn that there is a vintage version of this hat but have never seen one. Can anyone confirm this either way?Askindava 20:00, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

There is some guys with a vintage one. It's probably a glitch, just like vintage bill's hat -- User Swordz Swordz.pngSwordzUser Swordz Swordz.png (talk | contribs) 20:02, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Should such glitches be mentioned on the main pages, or should they be contained to the discussion pages? Askindava 20:11, 21 December 2010 (UTC) Yes there are vintage versions of it Lumbricus lid too, proof: http://www.tf2items.com/id/SSaaMM_?time=1296239723. Ykane 22:12, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Indubitably Green is blank for this hat.

I do not know where the photos are stored either.

Working fine here. Clear your cache and load the page again. User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 00:40, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
It looks fine to me too. Try ctrl-f5 ing a few times and see if that clears it up for you. FYI:the image is located here [1] Natemckn 00:42, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Relevance?

The beginning of the article, regarding how this hat was obtained, states "The offer is no longer available." Is it even necesary to say this? None of the other parts of the Sam & Max promotion (or any other promotional hats for that matter) say this, that I'm aware of. I'm editing it out unless informed otherwise. --Funkadacious 01:29, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

I would agree with that; that sentence seems superfluous. Esquilax 01:30, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, thought it would be better than "The item was awarded to players who bought Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse within the first week of its release and is no longer available." which makes it seem like the game is removed from the store. Oh well. GeminiViRiS User GeminiViRiS Doubleface.jpg Talk Contribs 01:34, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
That makes sense too, but the article probably doesn't need it. Esquilax 01:37, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Another thing, if this page is about just the hat, why is the second paragraph about the Big Kill and the Lugermorph?

"In addition to the hat, two weapons were also released; the Lugermorph, a pistol usable by the Scout and Engineer, and the Big Kill, a revolver usable by the Spy. These weapons were part of the preorder promotion for Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse (Telltale Games)."

Just saying, but if this article is just about the hat, this paragraph should not be present, as the weapons themselves do not include a paragraph like this. --Funkadacious 18:18, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

Class images

This hat needs pictures of being worn by all classes, like every other multi-class hat. Just a reminder.--Focusknock 21:30, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Somewhere the similar theme already was discussed, and administrators have accurately and clearly told that is not necessary. But I personally would want to see for all classes. And itself too with pleasure would load pictures. Rins :O (talk | contribs) 05:49, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

In that case they're being very hipocritial, especially as they have class pictures for the Alien Swarm Parasite, Ellis' Cap and Bill's Hat. Consistency is key. --Focusknock 19:43, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
I don't see a problem with having class images... however it's possible that the reason for a couple of pages lacking this is because the positioning of some hats on some classes is screwed in the model viewer. That and it gets kind of hard to think up new poses for the classes, too (it is for me anyway ;p) seb26 20:46, 26 February 2011
