Checkers and Galleries
The checkers show up behind images in image galleries, see here at the images of the medals. Is this the desired behavior? I don't like it personally. -- Pilk (talk) 12:42, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- I've never noticed it before, but I don't like it either, really. White works fine (No Racist!) --Firestorm 16:15, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- I have the same thought as Firestorm, never noticed it before, but it's pretty ugly (and pointless). -- Nineaxis 20:05, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- That kinda defeats the purpose of having transparent images... Why the checkers? -- Vi3trice (talk) 20:10, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- Ohh, I see. It's intended to be transparent regularly, but display the checkers when the image is viewed by itself when you click it. --Firestorm 20:26, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

I agree. Pointless. Why would we need it anyway? -- Smashman... (t • s) 21:26, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- I just said ^. Because it's not always obvious whether or not an image is transparent. I figured it would be handy for cleaning up Category:Images that need improving, for example, where many of the images are marked because they aren't transparent. There's the point. And it no longer shows up on articles or galleries in articles. seb26 [talk] 21:32, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- Right, right. Sorry. I had an older version of the page open when I replied. Yep, more good ideas from Seb. Why can't everyone be like you? -- Smashman... (t • s) 21:37, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
The background behind images in galleries isn't white, silly! -- Nineaxis 00:04, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
