Is this really necessary?

I don't see what the point of this template is.

Templates usually have only a few lines of manually translated text, while everything else uses automated translation through {{common string}}, {{item link}}, {{update link}} etc.

When a template has several manually-translated texts, these are usually a short sentence or two, like the promotional item lists and reskins.

In this one, literally all of the text found in it has to be manually translated, and a lot of them are lengthy paragraphs too. When you gather all languages supported by this wiki together, this is going to create massive walls of text that will make it hard to find untranslated text and their spots among the other translations.

The wiki is also lacking translators in several languages too. All this is going to do is fill the Lo-Fi Longwave's "dead" translations with English text (something I was told years ago not to do). Even if we had active translators in all languages, this could also cause multiple people to try and edit the template at the same time, resulting in edit conflicts and wasted time and effort (something that just happened to me, too).

I don't think this template is necessary. On the contrary, I think it makes translators' work more difficult than it could/should be. - BrazilianNut (talk) 15:38, 11 July 2023 (UTC)

Agree. The idea is clear - to create one page with all the translations in order to unload the main page. It's scary to imagine the scale of this page with all the translations.
