Hello, Adusak90!

Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
  • If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.
    • When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Adusak90 to the file's name.
    • Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Adusak90/ to the page title when you create the page.

Mała rada i prośba

List of Mega Cos.

Remember, for RED, BLU, Casali, etc, the shorter list is where you can not find them. Please, keep the incomplete lists incomplete to not clutter the list. M I K A D O 2 8 2 ❄❄❄❄❄ ❄❄ ❄❄ (talk) (Help Wanted!) 03:24, 28 December 2019 (UTC)

  • I canceled the edit, but I gotta say that the intentionally incomplete lists are a bad design choice and should NOT be a part of any listings. I have never seen anything like that on wikis and I have been around many of them (Hearthstone, Binding of Isaac, Europa Universalis 4 to name a few) and for good reason: they basically restrain amount of information you get. The best compromise would have been if it was few examples of where you can find advertisments for the companies and then expandable complete list. Punishing people for adding information for "cluttering the list" like that should not be a thing, lists are not alike to dumb trivia. Adusak90 (talk) 13:50, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
In this situation, incomplete lists are a good idea, superior to a cluttering huge lists, especially of signs that are on almost every comic, movie, and non-Haunted map. Not only would it be cluttering, it would be a maintenance problem to even pretend any such list could be accurate. You propose to completely list every map for every sign? IMO, there is no benefit to the wiki or readers to attempt such.
There are only two reasons to list maps in the table 1) to show evidence of where new or rare signs are used and 2) to show signs that are key to the storyline of singular maps. Anything more than that is simple observation.
My first post to you above is on record for others to judge whether there is anything even suggestive of punishment here. And a list of maps for any sign can't be good Trivia on this wiki, because good Trivia must not be simple counting. I did not ask or suggest that your additions be reverted, my only concern was to say that adding many more maps would be an issue. To the contrary, the checking the Borneo links you did add serve to remind us that there could be some updating (like Binksi Logging, the original listing of two maps needed to be updated to show there are now more than two maps (how many more? not really important, the number will change again next year)). In short, any incomplete list less than 3 could be updated; but, Happy Farmers Cooperative? Jenkin Coal Co.? Not really; everyone who really cares already knows they pretty much are everywhere.
What would be more valuable to the wiki, and an actual worthy editor's project would be to upload and add to the table all of the new signs and companies that have been added to the game in the last several years.
