Hello, Plutonium!
Welcome to the Official Team Fortress Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page, you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- You can use the
button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
- If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
- When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Plutonium to the file's name.
- Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Plutonium/ to the page title when you create the page.
Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress Wiki!

Template redirects
Hi there,
Templates should only have redirects if they serve a specific purpose, such as {{De}} or {{Header}} serving as shorter versions of {{Disambigentry}} and {{common string}} (the latter also being easier for new users to understand what their purpose is). Spelling variants are only really necessary if they are common templates (e.g. {{Font colour}} and {{Font color}} being an easier way for users to change font colours). Something such as {{Humor}} does not need a spelling variant as the template is rarely used on articles that are almost always handled by staff members (who are familiar with the Wiki and its templates). A userbox is almost always taken from the userboxes article, so having redirects for it doesn't make much sense.

Undoing WindBOT edits
Undoing an edit by WindBOT without changing anything on the article will usually result in it just redoing the edit afterwards anyway.

Patagonia strategy
Please consider what I've said in IRC and add all the tips in one huge edit rather than adding one or a few tips per edit. Alternatively, start an article on your Sandbox first then move it to the mainspace whenever you're done with it (preferably by copy-pasting it), like this page. You'll still have to merge all edits into one big one, but it would allow you to work on the article without leaving it largely blank.

WindBOT page request
It's not necessary to add a page to the list immediately after editing it. WindBOT will automatically look over it.

Disambiguations
Hi there,
Entries on disambiguations should be alphabetically ordered. For example, Metal (disambiguation) does not have its entries alphabetically sorted. This does not go for headers, they have a fixed order outlined in the style guide.

Javascript page
Users require permission for their javascript pages, they won't work unless staff enables them.
