Hello, Plutonium!
Welcome to the Official Team Fortress Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page, you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- You can use the
button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
- If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
- When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Plutonium to the file's name.
- Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Plutonium/ to the page title when you create the page.
Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress Wiki!

Metasis | Wikichievement unlocked! The part where it takes your username and uses it on your user page caught me off guard, otherwise it also looks pretty good. |

Material files
Heyo. I was looking at a couple of your images and noticed something that could help out. Like on Seamann's Stubble for example it seems you manually erased parts of Soldier out of the images. You've definitely got the right idea, the angle and everything looks great but for images like that you can use a custom material file so that only Soldier's head is showing that way you shouldn't have to erase anything by hand. So in this case if you download this and extract it you should be able to put that folder into your tf/custom folder and when you load the Soldier model in HLMV it'll just be Soldier's head.
There a whole bunch of different materials for different purposes and most of them can be found on this page here or on this page here. If you aren't sure what file to use you can also look at a similar item and see if it's on the Paint rotations page it should have a link to the material file that was used. Mediarch

- Thanks, it sucked trying to do that. Did you overwrite the seamann's stubble images with this?

Bird Head Change
Just a heads up, the item does say it's a bird head. Besides the fact it's a mask, the item level still addresses it as a Bird Head. Unless Valve does edit that to Bird Mask, we can be square on that https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Miami_Rooster
Regal (talk) 07:02, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
- There’s a note below the bird head section explicitly stating to not add the Miami Rooster. If that’s possibly outdated, you’re free to make a dispute on the talk page of it, but just know that the Pyro’s normal googles are still visible when equipped, which seems to be more like a head skin rather than a bird head.

- In any case to not stir up any arguments and notes. I'll just put this statement. The backpack identifies it as a Bird Head, however although visually it is a mask (Which I heavily agree to) in any case there would be some better alternatives for this cosmetic.
- Either adding it in the Bird Head section as the game intends to identify this cosmetic as one or place it in the bird section under Other Cosmetics since it's considered Bird related. But for now it will just be placed under other cosmetics.
