I'm really just curious as to why either of these are part of the Wiki network. Dota I can understand because the game itself hasn't been released, but not the Counter-Strike wiki.. Even the Alien Swarm wiki (which I believe was, at one time, part of the Network) isn't on here. What exactly qualifies itself enough to be a part of the Network, or is it based on who's in charge/content/what? [[User:Sven|~Sven~]] 17:41, 1 April 2012 (PDT)

:Yeah the Counter strike wiki should definitely be part of the Network, the alien swarm wiki should be in it to, I mean its only one game and there isn't very much content but at least the alien swarm wiki isn't a mess, it is in good condition, as far as wiki conditions go haha. Portal Wiki?

Is there no Portal Wiki? That's odd, it's one of their best-selling titles. Especially with Portal 2 coming up soon, you'd think they'd have one. Ah well. Lord Melchior 17:36, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

The Combine Overwiki has both HL and Portal information. Sven 19:01, 2 April 2011 (UTC)

Redact that, since the Unofficial Portal Wiki is coming along nicely, and is ran by the same guys here. And before anyone says "We have the Overwiki already," then I have to ask why the people here (Windpower, for one) decided that a Portal-specific Wiki needed to exist. VDC

I'm a frequent editor on Valve Developer Community, and I just read about this. I'm wondering where I might be able to learn what exactly Valve Wiki Network is, because I think the majority of us would be willing to have more affiliation with the other main Valve-related Wikis. Pee (talk) 23:55, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

There's not much more to it other than what's already mentioned on the page. The VDC is already extensively used here on the Wiki to refer to many technical TF2 aspects, but I'll have to ask other staff members about if they want to add it here. I doubt there will be much objection to it.
