Dictionary edits

Hi there. Just wanted to give you some help on how to update dictionary entries. You need to visit Template:Dictionary and find the section the string you want to edit belongs to (for example hats are in Template:Dictionary/items). You then find the appropriate section and click edit, from where you can edit the strings. The subpages you are currently editing directly are actually maintained by a bot, and will be overwritten and lost the next time anyone makes changes to that string in the dictionary. Hope that helps. User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 06:15, 20 November 2012 (PST)

You are still editing the dictionary subpages directly. Your changes will be lost. Please let me know if you did not understand what I said before. User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 15:27, 20 November 2012 (PST)
And again... (For the huo long heater [it]). Please stop, (and/or read the large red text). It's for your own good! Darkid (talk|contribs) 08:21, 21 November 2012 (PST)
Warning red.png I must insist again that you read the warnings and only edit the main dictionary pages instead of doing this on each page. Failure to do so may result in a block from editing.  –  Epic Eric (T | C) 14:49, 22 November 2012 (PST)
Again, please take notice of what we've said here. You're still editing the dictionary subpages directly and your changes will be lost. User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 14:40, 13 January 2013 (PST)
Heyo, As noted above, do not edit dictionary subpages for items as your changes will be lost. Instead you can edit Template:Dictionary so your changes will stay. Thanks. Ashes 05:42, 15 January 2013 (PST)
Si prega di interrompere la modifica delle strings del dizionario direttamente. Chiedi a un moderatore o un amministratore per maggiori informazioni su questo. Eels 05:53, 15 January 2013 (PST)

Hello, Newplayer210!

Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
  • If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.
    • Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Newplayer210/ to the page title when you create the page.

Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!
