There is no patch for May 3, 2011 I've checked every where. And they put it in the wiki when the first minute they release it. Sent me a link to the patch cause I've went every where.

Trivia, ect.

Attempt to use the existing format in your alterations. --Mechlord 01:45, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Which is? I'm just moving things to places they belong and removing things that don't make sense. Gameplay tips are not trivia, nor is mentioning the Scout and Engy hold their pistol differently
Now they're getting utterly inconsistent. Slow down a bit. --Mechlord 01:57, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
How so? Elements of how a weapon works are not trivia (see Frontier Justice edit you reverted). The Bonk thing is mindless trivia. Lots of effects end if you hit the resupply -- Balladofwindfishes 02:00, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
If I may interject, I agree with most of the removals you made from the trivia sections but a lot of the times you tried to add it to the article, you just appended the trivia to the end of one of the paragraphs. I'm looking at your edits to the Bonk and Shortstop pages in particular. Doing it like that is a little sloppy and it would be nicer if you thought about how to work it in so that the flow of the paragraph is preserved. If an item seems very difficult to add to the main article but it still seems relevant, then maybe the Trivia section was the best place for it after all, or maybe it should be deleted outright. You're not necessarily doing anything wrong, but slow down a bit and put a little bit more consideration into your work. I guarantee it will come out better. -- Alex2539 -- 02:48, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Maybe today I'll see if I can fix up the Bonk article, since that article has a lot of useless stuff in it's trivia section. Also, may I ask Mechlord, why did you revert the trivia about how the Scout and Engineer hold their pistol differently. Umm, isn't that obvious considering there isn't a single weapon in the game 2 characters hold the same? I noticed the Frying Pan article did not have that the Soldier and Demo hold it differently, yet you argue I'm not consistent in my edit to the Pistol. Some of your revisions seemed to be nothing more than trying going through and undoing everything I did because one or two of my revisions may have been a little hasty. -- Balladofwindfishes 12:50, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Leave the stock

It is relevant trivia and will no doubt be moved to the upcoming bug section we are attempting to implement. On a side note, you cannot simply remove trivia because it is 'not very interesting' to you. --Focusknock m 09:53, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Oh good, you're making a bug section. I was just going to write up a suggestion to do that

Octopuses and TF2

You asked why knowing about an octopus had to do with TF2. My trivia addition to the HOUWAR page that you deleted was defining the term "cephalopod", which is in the hat's description. "Beware the Cephalopod padlock." That is why an octopus has to do with TF2. Cronie 05:22, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

I didn't realize it was in the description of the item. In that case, feel free to add it back in. Much like the Lumbricus Lid, it's not something everyone would know the meaning of. Sorry about that. Balladofwindfishes 23:55, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Undocumented changes on February 22, 2011 Patch ARE bugs

Yes they ARE bugs, since it forces SOME nVidia users to use the DX8 alpha mode for particle effects. If it affected EVERYONE then it would be an actual change. Since it's not, they should not be in the patch page.  – Awesome.png Ohyeahcrucz[T][C] 22:09, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Okay, I didn't know the technical stuff behind what actually changed. However, the Wiki doesn't usually pick whether something is a bug or not. The Blighted Beak had its team colors removed in an undocumented change, yet we don't classify it as a bug. Do we know if the change was maybe a form of optimization? Balladofwindfishes 22:29, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
The Beak change was documented because it was deliberately changed by Valve, and as such, was not a bug. Actual changes are documented in patch pages, however, bugs are not. And it isn't any optimization, since it uses the DX8 particle effects.  – Awesome.png Ohyeahcrucz[T][C] 22:33, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Do we know if it were deliberately changed or not? Balladofwindfishes 22:40, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, Valve removed the team-colors to implement paintability on it.  – Awesome.png Ohyeahcrucz[T][C] 22:54, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Pie_Tony/Commie Cake actually intended for it to keep team colors. When they submitted the paintable skin, it included both blue and red team VTFs. However, I was talking about the particle system. Balladofwindfishes 22:57, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
As I said before, they weren't deliberately changed because it affects only some graphics cards.  – Awesome.png Ohyeahcrucz[T][C] 22:59, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Isn't it worth mentioning somewhere that this change happened? It seems like a big of bug (that still hasn't been fixed), that it isn't mentioned on the Wiki anywhere else. Maybe add it as a bug on the particle effects page? Balladofwindfishes 23:03, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Sure, add it there and to Glitches  – Awesome.png Ohyeahcrucz[T][C] 23:05, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Wait, don't. I was told it has nothing to do with particles, and that there are bigger bugs still unfixed.  – Awesome.png Ohyeahcrucz[T][C] 23:12, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
K, I still edited the feb patch though, since there was some unused references still left in the article Balladofwindfishes 23:13, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Yeah those are actual changes.  – Awesome.png Ohyeahcrucz[T][C] 23:15, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Oh, sorry about that. For some reason I thought they were a picture of the changed particles. My bad Balladofwindfishes 23:17, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
