Hello, Dariollo!

Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
  • If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.
    • Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Dariollo/ to the page title when you create the page.

Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!

I'm not an admin or a moderator, but I'd like to remind you:

  • to use proper capitalization.
  • to link correctly.
  • to place {{Trans}} at the top of the page if the translation isn't complete (yet).

If you have any questions whatsoever, feel free to join the IRC.

Minor notification

Hi,
It's great to see progress when it comes to linking. However, I have to remind you about correct capitalization (big letters in their correct spots). This way the text seems better and it's easier to read. Thanks in advance and keep up your translator's work!

Translating

Heyo. Been looking at your translations, And I have some things I want to point out.

  • You need to capitalize. Seriously. You do.
  • You need to properly link every single link on the page. If the link is lets say. Scripting, you would do Scripting/it|Scripting <- translate the 2nd part
  • Properly categorized by putting /it at the end of the category. For example: Category:Jigglebones becomes Category:Jigglebones/it .

I've been fixing some of these errors and I want to point these out to you so you don't make these kinds of mistakes in the future. Thanks. Ashes 01:16, 26 April 2013 (PDT)

Edit

hey pal, thanks to giving me via Steam your permission to fix your page. --MarcoDoctorwho (talk) 09:25, 5 December 2013 (PST)

Translations

Hai, I just fixed your recent translations and want to point out the mistakes you made:

  1. The biggest issue by far is that you're not/inconsistently localizing the links. Watch out for links in templates and files.
  2. Don't forget other parts in templates needing translation, like the "Level 1-100 Bla" and "Holiday restriciton".
  3. You're also partially not translating sentences, like the trivia and headlines.
  4. Use the newest official translations from the STS, as you still wrote "Xeno Suit" instead of the correct form "Xenotuta".
  5. Please refrain from inserting unofficial translations, as in Isolated Merc/it. Use the official names instead, you can find them in the Localization files.
  6. Translate Wikipedia links like this: [[w:English page title|Caption]] to [[w:it:Italian page title|Caption]].
  7. Translate categories by adding /it at the end.
  8. Don't forget to localize the {{Main}} and {{See also}} templates.
  9. Don't forget to use {{DISPLAYTITLE}} on non-item and item set articles.
  10. When an external link links to an English web page, add a {{lang icon|en}}.
  11. Though I'm not speaking Italian, you can see there are problems with your writing: Sometimes, you write whole articles in lowercase, in others, you're capitalizing every letter. We expect every translator to know his language.

If you have any further question, feel free to respond, add me on Steam or join the IRC.

Hi again, please note the tips above. This edit and this and this translation show you didn't read my previous message. Additionally, capitalizing all words doesn't help much, too. I'm concerned about your edits and I'll get them checked by an Italian STS mod if you continue translating on this quality. Responding would help a lot ;)
