Hello, and welcome to the Team Fortress Wiki. =)

I noticed you just translated the article for the Missing Piece to Turkish. While I can't tell the quality of your translation, as I don't speak Turkish, I trust that you did a good job. I can tell, however, that you made a few little errors, and I would like to talk about them to help you improve your works in the future.

First, the more important thing: links. Links can be done with single or double square brackets ([ ]). Single bracket links are generally for external links, while double bracket links are generally for internal links (and Wikipedia ones).

For double bracket links: anything inside them will become a link (example: Sniper -> Sniper). To change the text of the link, you first add the name of the article you want to link to, then a vertical line (|) and the desired text (Sasha -> Sasha).

For translated articles, you have to add the language's code at the end of the article's name (eKanama -> Kanama), but always before any section's name (Hatalar -> Hatalar), otherwise the link will lead to the English article (Pyro in a CS article would lead to the EN article; to lead to the CS one, it should be Pyro). Simply translating what is inside the brackets will most likely result in a red, broken link (Kayıp Parça -> Kayıp Parça). Also, be aware that some articles use anchors for certain sections, meaning a translation of the section's name might not be needed (Weapons/tr#soldierprimary); always check the destination to make sure it uses anchors or not.

Certain templates can be used to automatically translate things like names of updates, items, styles, and Unusual effects to the article's language (Black Box in a PT-BR article would become Caixa Preta). Their link variation also leads to articles of the same language as the ones they're in (Smissmas 2019 in a RU article would become Шмождество 2019).

Wikipedia links are a bit more annoying. Instead of adding /lang at the end of the link, you have to add the language after wikipedia:/w: and the appropriate title of the article.
Example:
Pictogram minus.png  ABD
Pictogram plus.png  ABD

The second, lesser thing: "hats". I might not speak Turkish, as I said before, but I know "Şapka" means "Hat", and I noticed you translated "cosmetic item" to "Şapkadır". The game (and the Wiki as well) no longer separates cosmetic items into "hats" and "miscs" - they are all considered cosmetic items now. Please do not differentiate them like that, and, if you find an article doing it (saying "[Item] is a hat for..." or "[Item] is a misc for..."), fix it.

I believe that is all. Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress Wiki. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. =) - BrazilianNut (talk) 03:09, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
