Hello, Louis1214!

Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
  • If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.
    • When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Louis1214 to the file's name.
    • Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Louis1214/ to the page title when you create the page.

Show Preview

Pictogram info.png Please make use of the Show preview button. It gives you a preview of the edit you are making, allowing you to perfect your changes before you save the page. You can edit the whole article by clicking the edit button at the top of the page, which is preferable to editing multiple sections consecutively.

Re Ashes

Well, thanks for the reminding. But why you're reminding me.Are there any mistakes in my contributed articles? :)Louis1214 (talk) 21:25, 15 August 2016 (PDT)

I'm just reminding you as you were making multiple edits on your userpage without using show preview. All of your userpage edits could have just been done in one single edit. Ashes (talk) 22:33, 15 August 2016 (PDT)
Ok,I will remind myself about that,thx againLouis1214 (talk) 22:44, 15 August 2016 (PDT)

Punctuation & Other things to be notified

Hello, I've been monitoring the edits you have been made, and I think you probably did not notice that the pages in zh-hant required fullwidth punctuations (e.g. ,。()+?!@#...) except in some occation (e.g. " or / for /zh-hant...etc). Also, sometimes the numbers (1234567890) need to have a space between Chinese words except for the display of date (e.g. 2016年9月7日). The purpose of fullwidth punctuations is for easier reading, and I hope you can apply these old rules.
Last but the most important thing is that the using of any automated translation services or devices (e.g. Google Trans) is strictly forbidden, because it is very annoying for everyone when finding out a poor translated article. This kind of act is easy to be spotted, due to the appearance of awkward Chinese words or grammar. In any case, if you are using any of them, please stop at once or the edits will be undone and the account blocked, thanks. ~www~ 02:05, 7 September 2016 (PDT)

Hello,I would want to know if there are any Chinese or grammar mistakes in the article I edit so that I could correct it next time and not to make the mistake again.I would also like to know how to type those fullwidth punctuations,thanks.Louis1214 (talk) 02:43, 8 September 2016 (PDT)
It is hard to "pinpoint" what grammar errors you have made specifically, however I suggest that you can read the pages which was edited by me so that you can see the difference (pressing the "diff" button will help). About fullwidth problem...do you know how to change into "Chinese input"? In my computer (or the default setting), ⇧ Shift and SPACE combination will switch from halfwidth to fullwidth. There are many places contains this instruction.
BTW I have deleted some pages you have created, such as Sandman/zh-hans due to the "Copy From Zh-hant Then Paste It on the Zh-hans" zero-tolerance policy. The issue had a huge debate before but it had been accepted, therefore the zh-hant mods can delete any copied zh-hans pages if they find one (and it's quite easy to tell if the pages are copied or not). Thus, whether you are going to translate the article from English into zh-hant or zh-hans, DO NOT just copy the pages, turn it into another type of word and paste it. You will have to translate two different versions of Chinese pages if you intend to complete both pages. ~www~ 02:29, 9 September 2016 (PDT)
Hello, thanks about the teaching(it helps a lot). And would you mind watching this page to see that if this is allowed in translating and editing. That was one of the pages you deleted before. Thanks again.Louis1214 (talk) 03:14, 9 September 2016 (PDT)
No. Apparently you "retrans" it from zh-hant because there would be 4 dates in Update history (but there's only 1 date, which is as as same as zh-hant), this proves that you didn't translate them from scratch. To make thing more clear, translating the article into Chinese is not just copy&paste or "translate" it from zh-hant, you have to translate it from original source. Thus, I have to ask you to stop translating in an inappropriate way or I will have no choice but to lock the account. ~www~ 04:18, 9 September 2016 (PDT)
I created this page from scratch...If it was OK...please tell me in my talk page.thanksLouis1214 (talk) 19:30, 9 September 2016 (PDT)
The page you created later was okay. Just follow those standard procedures and we should be fine. ~www~ 00:41, 10 September 2016 (PDT)

Percentage bar

Heyo,

I noticed that you were trying to use my percentage bar. If you'd like to create your own, simply create the page User:Louis1214/percentage bar (you can call it whatever you want as long as you use the prefix User:Louis1214), and then just copy & paste the code from mine and play around with the colors a little, or you could use the original source. Please don't plagiarize.

I noticed you plagiarized a bit of Traditional Chinese onto some Simplified Chinese. Please don't do that in the future. Anyar (talk) 16:55, 27 February 2017 (PST)
