This article is about Community Decoy strategy.

General (All Classes)

  • Focus on attacking first waves at front of map, then fallback to the rear Health Kit & Ammo Box drop once Bomb enters alarm area.
  • Make sure to know where all Health Kit & Ammo Box locations to stay alive and supplied longer.
  • Natural choke points located on either side of middle building, but make sure to watch out for the upper outer routes where rouge robots will sneak behind your lines.
  • The bomb carrier will often "level up" by taunting, giving bonuses to the surrounding enemies which will make the carrier that make harder to attack.
  • The symbols and numbers under the wave bar indicate how many and what type of class will be attacking.
  • Knocking the bomb carrier into the pit (major job of the Pyro's airblast) will give you more time and cause the robots to change current route.
  • Later waves will often overrun the spawn point, its best to prepare between waves or have someone clear the area periodically.

  • Pyro should focus on upgrading airblast as soon as possible to make sending bomb into the pit much easier, and slowing down the Giant Bots from deploying the bomb.
  • When Spy Bots are announced by the Administrator fall back to the Engineer's sentry with Homewrecker to keep sentry alive as long as possible and spy check all teammates.
  • Upgrading the Primary weapon's after burn damage and duration followed by attack power will help early waves, while waiting until later waves to upgrade Pyro's blast and bullet resistance will help defend against the Giant Bots.
  • Once a Tank enters the area, attack constantly and use any 'Crit Boost' on hand while using the Tank as cover from any Bots following behind.
  • While it's the Engineer's job to move his Sentry when a Sentry Buster is attacking, a strong enough Pyro it giving the right timing can 'Juggle' the Buster into the air where others can help destroy it and give extra time for the Engineer to move his buildings.
  • In front of the middle 'MANN CO.' building where the main bomb path splits, the corner can be used as a prime safe retreat, where an Engineer should have a Dispenser setup you can defend, and juggle slowing down the enemy.
  • Once outside the Spawn Point there is a wire fence that ends at the bridges exit, another safe zone where you can wait for attacking bots to run into your flame while avoiding Soldier and Heavy Bot's barrage. Be aware of Snipers, and time it right when attempting to airblast the bomb carrier off bridge.

  • The Main entrance, between the middle on the map, both bridges, and the drop-off point are the main choke points where Sticky trap bombs are most effective.
