Why voice lines?

Why was the list of Farmer's and pumkin's voice lines put on this page. Yeah, it is true that those characters are specific to Farmageddon, but still... They already have a page of their own, and placing them here just ruins this article and makes it a mess. It would be like fitting an entire map strategy into a singe map article, there is reason why those two things are separate. Same logic should apply here.

Pictogram plus.png I Agree, but I would avoid "ruins" and "mess". The Announcer line section should be removed.
The present content should be moved to the separate page named Farmer responses (cf. Davy Jones responses), at least for the time being, and we may discuss any different arrangement later, perhaps after the Event.

It doesn't ruin the article, see Watergate for example. There's simple no need to create a dedicated page for a non recurring character exclusive to a single map. We could for sure improve how this information is presented here, but I'm heavily against a dedicated page. The farmer also only has 10 voice lines, hardly worthy an article.
Davy Jones responses is still a thing because I haven't figured out what to do with the unused voice lines section. — Tark lm(pt-br) 13:37, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
Hmmm, alright then. We can keep the voice lines to their retrospective pages. But if you are going to do that, atleast nicely incorporate them into the page. The Farmageddon's infobox pushed the Farmer's voice lines all the way down to the bottom, resulting in a big sea of white right in the middle of this article. Hopefully, this will get fixed soon.

If required, we can simply make the entire responses template collapsible/expandable. That way it's not one giant box in the middle and gives folks the option to look at em or not. Just my two cents. Ashes 20:18, 15 October 2021 (UTC)

more info for Morice

Currently I am hesitated to move the voicelines of Morice to Community Announcers, since it's not likely an announcer.

With that being said, the first thing to do is probably add more information for the Pumpkin - what is it exactly and what's the source of its name?

Thanks in advance to anyone who settles this problem. User Dereko Name.png 11:54, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

I believe his name is actually Gourdon, as pointed out in the patch notes. The file names were listed as "Morice", seems like it wasn't updated (I have updated it now). I don't think it needs to go to the announcers page, as it's more like a community NPC.

Morice and Gourdon are two different pumpkins, Gourdon is the huge one in the center of the map. Morice is found in blue spawn on a table, he is based on the pumpkin with a mobsters brain which was seen in the "Gargoyles and Gravel" comic. Clarification from art director

The run down building in the center of the map is intended to be a barn, or at least the remnants of one. The machinery near the giant pumpkin are for processing grain, which presumably was also stored nearby, and the lofts are still being used to store hay. The Combine isn't parked in there intentionally. It is possessed by Gourdon and has crashed in through the barn doors which are now blocked by hay from the broken loft above it, and also gotten stuck in the broken wood floor which should indicate that it was never meant to go in there.

Relevant quote from some folks who build sheds: "Whereas sheds are smaller in size, barns are traditionally larger outdoor structures located on farms, often built up to sizes of 8,100 sq ft. Additionally, sheds are built with slopes in one direction, while a frame roof is used for barns."

"Barns are primarily used for housing farm animals like horses, sheep, pigs, and livestock. They are also used to store agricultural tools and feed such as hay and grain. Sheds are often used to store outdoor household necessities like mowing equipment, lawn tools, and ladders."

You guys are free to keep using whatever words you want to describe it, I'm hardly a word expert, but at least you know what it's intended as.
