Burning Enemy Kills: Bug or Note?
The following has just been added to the Bugs section:
- The Strange Part: Burning Enemy Kills does not track kills caused by afterburn.
- It does count if the attack were to ignite the enemy, such as the flames from the flamethrowers or a direct charged shot from the Cow Mangler 5000.
Would this truly be a bug, since the player is credited for killing an enemy by inflicting afterburn on them, or a note, as the part only asks that the player kill an enemy who is on fire and not that the player kill them by setting them on fire? – BrazilianNut (talk) 08:10, 2 December 2025 (UTC)
- I have a bit of trouble understanding this one, so if the person dies to afterburn it is not counted but if the attack itself sets them on fire before killing them it's counted? Seems to just be a note to me in that case as afterburn isn't killing an enemy on fire necessarily. With how many of these parts have oddities or maybe require some more explanation I think individual Strange Part articles at some point may be a good idea (but out of scope for this discussion).
