Hi. This is my Talk Page, umm.. So, yeah. If you want to, leave a message under here.

I may occasionally miss things in the show preview view so I apologise prematurely for that.

Please please make use of the Show preview button ! You use 4/5 edits by pages for just "1 little edit". AdvanS3b 12:26, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

Oops. Damn. Sorry. Davo 19:44, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

There are too many guidelines for me to remember. Davo 15:09, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Help with Userboxes

Also, if someone could tell me how to make a userbox, I'd be ever grateful. Thanks.Davo 19:07, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

1) Create a page called Template:User USERBOX NAME;
2) Copy and paste
|border-c = BORDER COLOR (use as #xxxxxx or colorname)
|border-s = BORDER SIZE
|id-c = LOGO BACKGROUND COLOR (use as #xxxxxx or colorname)
|id-fc =
|info-c = INFO COLOR (use as #xxxxxx or colorname)
|info-s = 7
|info-fc = INFO FONT COLOR (use as #xxxxxx or colorname)
}}<noinclude>[[Category:Userbox templates|FIRST LETTER IN USERBOX NAME]]</noinclude>

in the page content and substitute what's in bold with whatever you want;
3) Use Show Preview to make sure if it's okay and edit anything if necessary;
4) Once done, Save page;
5) Place {{User USERBOX NAME}} in your user page;
6) Save page and there you go!  –  Duel RED.png Epic Eric Duel BLU.png (T | C) 19:50, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Thanks! Davo 09:32, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

Just ONE question. How do I create pages? I've been just editing up until now. Davo 15:33, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

Make sure to use the "Edit" Tab at the top of the Page if you need to edit multiple sections. This saves time and doesn't flood the "Recent Changes" Page since you can change every part of an article at once, say for example you have to cut out something from the "Trivia" Section and paste it into the "Overview" Section, using the "Edit" Tab at the top allows you to do this without needing to wait for the page to load after you cut the section out and then wait again before you can paste it into the other section. Remember dat. Lancer anti-tank Rocket 09:50, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

Oh, ok. Maggosh also does that, I think. By that, I mean what I just did. Davo 10:42, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

Recent Edits

I'm not sure why nobody ever mentions this, but us Staff members have bots that can do those really annoying replacement edits really quickly. It's as simple as putting in what word we want to replace, what to replace it with and BAM! It does all the pages. Just a reminder for the future, simply ask one of us if you would like a bot to replace a word or phrase over many pages --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 15:49, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

Ok, sorry. I just feel like I have nothing better to do. Davo 15:50, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
Nono, I'm not chastising you, I'm just letting you know that the resource is there. If you would prefer to do the edits yourself, that's perfectly fine. Also, please have your signature on the same line as your comment --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 15:51, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
Again, alright. I'll think about it. I do like doing the meticulous edits and I didn't know about that same line thing. Davo 15:53, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

Need a little help or so

Hey Davo, another contributer. I was wondering how you got those "boxes" that you have on your user page. I think they are really cool and just to know if I have to do anything specific to get them or just copy and paste. Danke! KSquared 21:03, 2 January 2013 (PST)

Basically, they're userbox templates, and there's a page category full of them. The page is found here: Feel free to look at the source of my user-page to see how they need to be set up if you want more than 1 in groups. Davo 03:36, 4 January 2013 (PST)
Thank you, Davo!KSquared 13:23, 4 January 2013 (PST)

Calm down mate <3

No need to all caps yell because I missed one instance of than/then confusion. I probably just skipped over the word since I noticed solely being misspelled just adjacent to it. Thanks for picking up on the mistake I unfortunately overlooked, though Atonement 22:54, 22 March 2013 (PDT)

Yeah, I can get a bit irate over grammar errors, heheh. Davo 16:42, 23 March 2013 (PDT)

"Readded Captain Punch image needed thingymabob"

Any reason for this? The current image is just fine, I think.

The image shown, "BLU_Captain_Punch_Melee.png" is still using the wrong idle stance. It usually uses its own idle stance in MvM, not the default melee stance. It doesn't reflect its actual appearance. That's my reason for re-adding it. Davo-(Page|Talk|Contribs) 08:09, 10 September 2013 (PDT)

Deleted sniper achievements contributions

I have just edited two Sinper achievenets, Dead Reckoning and The Last Wave, I have completed them today, the first killing an enemy Sniper with Tribal Shiv, he died bleeding and go Dead Reckonin, ahd I got The Last Wave and Be Polite at the same time.

I can confirm, and anyone can, that both ways are legit The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cristhianmlr (talk) • (contribs)

Hmmm.... I'm still doubtful... Also, make sure to sign your posts with ~~~~ -- Davo - (Talk|Contribs) 14:24, 1 March 2014 (PST)
Dead Reckoning just checks that the sniper died by you after you did. The taunt achievements are buggy, but note that they are bugged, don't put that on the obtaining page unless it's 100% consistent. Darkid (Talk | Contribs) 14:54, 1 March 2014 (PST)

Undoing kill icons

Sorry about that you might get the wrong idea but me and an another user of the wiki are discussing the adding of kill icons and we thing we may end up allowing this for the mean time.

Thank you for undoing these as you had seen we were doing it before hand but for now I think its best we keep them. we are looking at a way to better the item boxes to actually have taunt kills.

thank you for your understanding RED Überneedle.png - Lexar - talk 06:49, 21 May 2014 (PDT)

The thing I was removing was the addition of the "drop" method for obtaining items. But yeah, I was wondering about that as well. - Davo (Talk|Contribs) 07:20, 21 May 2014 (PDT)

Weird caps

I originally had it title case. Problem was I remembered that sentence case is pro forma, so trying to be thorough, I checked the search function and saw that it was forcing to sentence case and generated a sentence case URL. It is obvious to me now that that URL was redirected, just as it is clear that the article's URL is title case. I made a number of embarrassing mistakes while sleepy - should have left it in my sandbox overnight. Thanks. Mikado282 (talk) 06:51, 11 June 2014 (PDT)

I presume that I got it right on the tf_zombie entry? There was some ambiguity there. Also I am thinking about redirecting the Zombie redirect from Skeleton to the Zombie disambiguation. Mikado282 (talk) 07:18, 11 June 2014 (PDT)
The only thing I was correcting was the Zombie Fortress link. Everything else was fine. But I think redirecting the redirect's destination to the disambiguation page would be better. - Davo (Talk|Contribs) 07:29, 11 June 2014 (PDT)

South Wales

WOW, man, that was bad, just now saw your correction. Thanks. And so embarrassed. Sorry I made that goof, and sorry I missed your comment. Wow. What was I (not) thinking? So, blinded by Australia? WOW. Mikado282 (talk) 19:58, 26 August 2014 (PDT)

  • Stuff like that happens, heh. - Davo (Talk|Contribs) 04:02, 27 August 2014 (PDT)
