Templates

You're using templates wrong. Completely wrong. All you need is the template name is {{s. Also, there's no point in deleting them, just translate them.  – Smashman (talk) 12:16, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, its my first time doing this. Its very hard for me, but dont worry, in a few days I'll end editing it to spanish. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sr Domi (talk) • contribs)
That's fine. We all start somewhere. Use templates like this {{Delete}} and remember to sign your comments with ~~~~  – Smashman (talk) 12:46, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Show Preview

Information.png Please make use of the Show preview button. It gives you a preview of the edit you make, allowing you to perfect it before you save the page.--Piemanmoo 06:04, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

I think that I use it better than you. SrDomi 11:56 18 September 2010(UTC)
At least he can sign his comment correctly. And you don't.  – Smashman (talk) 12:01, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
Haha, good joke. SrDomi 12:02 18 September 2010(UTC)
I'm not even partially joking. Stop being so confrontational. Piemanmoo is more respected here than you, and as such his opinions should be heeded.  – Smashman (talk) 12:10, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
I've also noticed that you're being quite rude to Piemanmoo on his talk page, I think some of the stuff you've said so far is pretty uncalled for. Infi^ 16:14, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
The problem with that its because its hard for me to translate spanish into english, making my vocabulary limited. I dont really want to annoy, but his job wanst serious. If Im working on two articles, not open 5 new articles, its annoying and its pointless. And he isnt going to translate 100% intogod spanish, isnt it? I can do that with the japanese wiki. Only coping english articles and adding it. I dont eanto to be rude, but sometime I dont know how to be clear. Sorry, I dont wanna fight. (The strange is... I understand english, but not speaking it).--SrDomi 16:50 18 September 2010(UTC)

Audio files

If you are going to upload the Soldier voice command files as well, please copy and paste the below into the upload box before you hit upload.

Ok, ok! Sorry for the scout files... now I know that, I'm not gonna fail again. Thanks! SrDomi 2:09 22 September 2010(UTC)

Translating templates

Just letting you know, with the template {{lang}}, if the Spanish translation is exactly the same as the English one then you don't need to add a separate Spanish string. This is because if it sees that there is no Spanish one, it uses English instead. Just a little tip to save you some effort in the future. seb26 [talk] 20:42, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

Oh, thanks. I was thinking the same, but I added the "spanish" version just like "its the same but it includes spanish section". Anyway, thanks. Sr Domi 21:45, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

--The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ryo (talk) • contribs)

Calmate. Y luego, aprende a traducir. Gracias. --(Sr Domi) 22:51, 6 October, 2010

Translating the Scream Fortress Event banner

Hey! You may have noticed the Scream Fortress event banner on the front page (permalink). Could you translate it to Spanish (just reply to this with the translation), so I can get the image up for the Spanish Main Page. Thanks! ~ lhavelund (talkcontrib) 22:45, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

My bet: " Evento de Halloween "Fortaleza de los Chillidos" " Use it, but maybe my team couldn't be with me on that translationSr Domi 00:24, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
Ok, it's: " El Evento de Halloween "Scream Fortress" " Sr Domi 19:06, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
I'll add that up tomorrow; thanks! ~ lhavelund (talkcontrib) 23:18, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
Cool! I love when people make this things. Sweet. Thank you a lot!Sr Domi 00:43, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Wrong URL

Hello. Please, when translating one article, please do it on the Spinal Tap/fr page, for example, and not on the Ponction Lombaire, OK? --EpicEric 21:46, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

You see, this is against Rule #2 on the Language Translation Guidelines. --EpicEric 21:48, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
Im just making redirect pages, so I dont know what are you talking about. Sr Domi 21:52, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
Have you contacted a Moderator before? They must approve it before you start doing this.
Besides, as I've told you, this is forbidden. --EpicEric 21:58, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
Please stop with this until a Moderator answers you. --EpicEric 21:59, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
Lol. I don't have a problem with anyone making language redirects (and there is no "Rule #2" anyway, that list is a how to guide not a ruleset). I would prefer that if you do, Sr Domi, that you use the template {{R lang}} on the redirect page as it helps to keep track of them. seb26 [talk] 22:02, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
Oh, thanks! I will end with the weapons fr redirects and then Ill change the other I made, thanks. Sr Domi 22:04, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Español a utilizar

saludos.--Dioschayote

Sr Domi 21:23, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Audio files 2

Unfortunately it's "Category:Sniper audio responses/es", not "Category:Sniper responses/es" D: if you use the proper one on your new uploads I'll fix up the other ones for you. seb26 [talk] 21:03, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

F***, I Knew it, I knew it. Look, thats my error. I mean, you dont have to fix someone's sh**. If you want to help me, I will really thank it, but this is my fault, and something isnide me is saying that the one who would fix it, it's myself. Sorry to all the wiki for this. And thanks, for saying it. Sr Domi 21:08, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Seriously don't worry, it wasn't that huge of a deal, just a simple mistake. The bot will have it done in less than 5 minutes (and takes me all of 30 seconds to set it up) so don't trouble yourself. seb26 [talk] 21:11, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Thanks a lot. I have some problems trying to do everything so perfect, and this is so embarrasing to me... thanks again. Anyway, I will give a file with all the spanish audio files, so a bot could upload them in some minutes. I like the "hardcore" method, but... well, I cnhaged my mind. Ah, and thanks again. Sr Domi 21:18, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Muchas gracias

What?

I don't speak Spanish natively, but AFAIK, I've done nothing wrong at all to the Spanish wiki. All I have done is:

  • 1. Updated infobox formatting to include names and removed redundant DISPLAYTITLE templates
  • 2. Fixed and updated formatting to match the English standard, which includes adding and removing pictures, changing the order that things are displayed, categorizing information into separate areas, etc.
  • 3. Removed information deemed unnotable (Bad trivia, outdated statistics, irrelevant anecdotal one-liners)

All of my changes have been monitored by the IRC and the Wiki's staff, and in all cases that I asked about the quality of my edits to foreign pages, they were approved. In English, could you give me specifics on what parts of my edits you have trouble with? I'm here to help, and anything that I'm doing wrong I'd like to know about as soon as possible.

FlotsamX 02:13, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

I don't recall ever making any edit(s) like that. I definitely wouldn't have put "the" in the actual name, so if I did in any occasion, it was a complete oversight.

Userbox

Achieved.png This user has earned 0 of the 520 TF2 achievements. That's 0%!

Ya que no se me ven. Dio 01:36, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Sr Domi 01:49, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Re: Helping out

Is there anything else that I can do for the translation project, or do you know any other language project in need of files? Sven 21:43, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, I'm not working anymore on the Wiki. Also, no idea for which language are you talinkg about. Sr Domi 22:42, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
