Hello, Akolyth!
Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- You can use the button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
- If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
- When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Akolyth to the file's name.
- Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Akolyth/ to the page title when you create the page.
Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!

Why are you editing the french man's berret page
is this some kind of joke?, really, i go in and make a good description and you ruin it
- Read the style guide, and your English isn't that good.--Akolyth (talk) 00:59, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
Tundra Top: how I made a hat
Well, while I left texturing to QuestionablyInsane, to create the base mesh of the hat it took me like one hour. Then as the trivia I added says, i used a base of an older cosmetic I created and was modifying it, enhanching it as well. It took me at least three hours or so to create it. Community (effect)
I think 10 or more edits on the same page in such a short timespan is more than enough, don't you? ;) (Use the preveiw button to look how it looks before adding, it really helps). Other than that, keep up the good work and have fun. Faghetti V.2 (talk) 07:28, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
Contributions to the German section
Hello Akolyth,
I undid all of your contributions to the German section of this wiki. Please don't use automatic translators like Google Translate and also refrain from translating or adding information if you don't have sufficient knowledge of the language. Please instead focus on improving the wiki in languages that you fluently speak. Thanks and have fun! — shots fired by: Nikno {Talk | Contribs} 17:32, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
- I do not use automatic translation services. I have basic knowledge of German from a distant relative who grew up in a small village in eastern Saxony. I concede that he was raised with a peculiar dialect but he has command of Standard German as well. What was wrong with my translations? Please give details. Also a Steam acquaintance from the Munich area said my translations were decent. Also you should have just corrected instead of deleting. I have been editing German Wikipedia too and have not been reverted like this. You just deleted everything wantonly because you found some minor error from the Standard dialect?-- Akolyth (talk) 18:01, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
- These were no "minor errors" but parts of your additions were gibberish. Every German speaker who knows how to read and write would recognize that. I feel very sorry for you, but it totally looked like automatic translation, because it was at its level. I didn't correct them because the pages need general overhaul anyway. I'll take a look at them again, though.
- For the future please concentrate on languages where you have more than "basic knowledge". This is not offensive, but you just lack some well-founded German in order to write on a wiki. Feel free to link me to your additions in the German wiki. — shots fired by: Nikno {Talk | Contribs} 18:08, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
- Oh...okay. I understand, I'm sorry. I thought that based on the lack of revisions that I was doing well until now. Thank you for the caution at least.-- Akolyth (talk) 18:17, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
- Well, regarding the German section I'm the only moderator and not looking here much lately. After taking a closer look at your edits, I guess most Germans would understand what you want to say. Nonetheless for written wiki text it lacks some grammar and correct wording. And since it would mean somebody would need to correct your additions, it doesn't make much sense in my opinion. Despite that, everybody knows that most language sections are very outdated and need work. — shots fired by: Nikno {Talk | Contribs} 18:20, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
- It's funny because the German Wikipedia is actually the second largest version of Wiki behind English (despite it being not even in the Top 10 most spoken!) so I was used to that speed of editing. Thank you for the explanation. I am learning more languages in general anyway so I will be sure to study more before I edit there.-- Akolyth (talk) 18:52, 3 April 2018 (UTC)

Quotation style guide
The quotes you recently added descriptions to were not missing descriptions, descriptions for quotations are not required. Refer to the quotation style guide: Help:Style guide/Quotes:
Note that the style guidance is that the descriptions should be used sparingly (no emphasis added). Note that the Good example does not use the description argument, while the Bad example has a bad description. The original editors generally left their descriptions blank for a reason. - Oh I know that well, in the case of the Pistol I actually misread it when I looked back so I cut it just now. As for the Bottle the "feeling tipsy" was just a tiny joke but for article flair but I see how it's iffy. I wanted the edits to be mainly about the other content though, I'll just restore the former state.-- Akolyth (talk) 01:47, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
Welcome back.

- What a lovely gift, thank you so much!! This truly means a lot, bless you. I would never have expected this haha. Same to you of course; you reminded me to put my Discord in my profile too. I'll put this achievement on my userpage soon. :p I was on hiatus so long because of persona struggles of many kinds, but I'm glad to see this community still alive and caring for an awesome game, even with later users like you. Hope you're having a lovely day, let's make this Wiki shine.-- Akolyth (talk) 20:17, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
Dispenser "Trivia"
Hi.
I am referring to the addition of mention of pipe to the existing statement.
This drew my attention to the existing statement. Just stating that people can see a nail strip is a TVIO, specifically simple observation. As an experienced editor, I can guess the intent, that there are items in the drawer that go with unused content. Same with the pipe.
Also, "may be a" and "perhaps a" are indicative of speculation.
Some might think it is interesting that the dispenser has models of supplies that are not used in the game, but were once considered. It is true, it is arcane, and it is interesting to some, these facts are in the realm of Trivia. However, speculation whether it was an oversight to leave those models on the Dispenser or an intentional reference is just guessing unless there is citation, and so, that speculation should not be in the Trivia.
So, careful rewording is needed.

- Good evening Mikado282, thank you for the message! I understand what you mean, and honestly, my change to Nail Gun and Lead Pipe was intended merely to fill out consistency to the former. I'm not sure how to reword those lines or whether they ought to be removed entirely, although I do believe that it is of note, whether the pipe and belt are an intentional oversight or, ironically I was thinking it was an oversight of development. I appreciate this though. So... I'm not sure what to do but I'd like to see how you would word it if you wanted.-- Akolyth (talk) 00:30, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Am in bed now, I may give it a shot this weekend while traveling. I also, noticed some speculation and rationalization has crept into NPCs, but not something I want to fix with phone edit. ★M★I★K★A★D★O★1776!★ oOOOOo oo oo (talk) (Help Wanted!) 04:41, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
(sic) change to recent update page?
noticed you undid my change to the recent update page. Would you care to explain why the proper content is out(sic) instead of just out? The update page states just "out"
thanks, Peppy Peppy (talk) 01:50, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
- Oh oops, it seems that it was fixed, but I am certain before there was a typo now rectified. Sorry for confusion! - - Akolyth (talk) 02:21, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
User name change
Hi there,
I'm not sure if this was meant as a way of asking how to change your username but it can't hurt. If you want to change your username, contact a Wiki admin (a list of those found here, I would suggest Tark as the other admin is currently busy with real life) on their user talk and request your username change.

Licenses on images
Hi there,
It's not necessary to select multiple licenses. Simply one of them is enough. For any TF2 SFM render, including artwork from community members, should have the ArtworkTF2 license.
