P2 Pin trivia

In my opinion this isn't notable, is it not the policy of the wiki to document what is and not speculate on what could be? Regardless of how obvious it may or may not seem. ~ Ath (talk) 00:27, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Pin comes with Portal 2 pre-order on Steam

Has anyone seen this link yet?

Did anyone saw that the demo had a different emblem?--Waffleman 03:13, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

Are you talking about the team colors? --Nihilus0Backpack Lugermorph.png(contribs) 03:18, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

I think it should be added to the main article that the Companion Cube Pin is granted with a pre-order of Portal 2. ILikePi 04:31, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

Goddamnit, Valve, stop pulling these out of Gabe's... maggosh 04:34, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

Can someone confirm that the cube pin and the Resurrection pin are mutually exclusive, and that folks with one will recieve the other? Vekter 18:09, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

I can confirm the inverse. I have both on the last page of my backpack. http://tf2b.com/?id=m2pt5 --M2pt5 00:26, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

Game Stop Pre-Ordering

Well, does anyone know if the Pin will be given if Portal 2 is pre-ordered on Game Stop? I got the feeling it will not be granted :( Stunned.png The Noble Scout (T/C) 11:04, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

We'd need an expert on this, but my guess is no. You'd buy it from GS on release day, then take it home and register it on Steam. Steam wouldn't know that you've pre-ordered it, as you only "mentioned" it after release, and it was not pre-loaded. I've pre-ordered from Game, but the lure of this pixel arrangement means i'm pre-ordering from Steam now! JaffaCakeLover 10:25, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

But, it will know you pre ordered because you will have a code for the Co-Op Skins which are only avaiable if you preorder the game. But, the site does say on steam if you read the fine print. Seth Hunter 00:41, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Then again Bill's Hat was a "Steam" only preorder and I recieved it from a gamestop preoder. Maybe if they print the codes earlier you will receive it. Ill check with my PS3 Preorder, because you get two codes, one for PS3 and one for PC. Seth Hunter 01:05, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

I pre-ordered from Best Buy, so I'll be able to check on tuesday if I get my pin from a retailer that doesn't have a pre-order bonus. I highly doubt it, but you never know Balladofwindfishes 01:08, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Demoman's new emblem?

Looks like a stick of dynamite with a fuse in the promotional image with the pyro. Haven't be able to go in-game to see it though. BASEBALLFURIES 02:25, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

That's an old emblem, not new. -- OluapPlayer (t) Howdy, pardner! 02:27, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

So dynamite, bomb (circular), stickybomb in that order? I wonder why they would use an old one then. BASEBALLFURIES 02:29, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Hidden Portal Link

It seems as though there is a link on the recent " hatless update" page. http://www.teamfortress.com/hatless/ If you scroll down to the end of the page, there should be an orange portal on the bottom right. Should this be written or simply upload an image of this? Skymonster 13:03, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

The page image is already in the article in the gallery. Although I notice it isn't on the Hidden pages article yet. Hint hint ;) User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 13:06, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Distribution Ended?

Are you sure these are still being distributed? I pre-ordered Portal 2 last night and have yet to receive one.--Mezase Master 03:37, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

how odd

most people that i have see have unique cc pins. but i have a gen pin (http://optf2.com/item/284364985)! is there a reason. i pre ordered portal 2 with 30 min to spare.

Apparently, all Companion Cube Pins obtained via pre-order have been turned Genuine. Also, please remember to sign your comments. --Noodlebrain 19:30, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

Robin Walker's Vintage Pin

Is it worth noting that Robin Walker also has a Vintage Companion Cube Pin? http://optf2.com/item/186908362 Abcorn 23:43, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

No, Robin Walker can give himself any item of any quality he wants. -- OluapPlayer (t) Howdy, pardner! 23:46, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
No, then we'd have to mention every little special item he has. Leaderboard class soldier.pngJust a Gigolo - (talk) 23:48, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
Then should we give Robin his own page??? Smashbrother101 23:51, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

Pin

Did you notice that a genuine companion cube pin is level 20 but unique ones are level 1.we should add that. THE3STOOGES 02:33, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Genuine/Unique quality

I'm a bit confused. Are there any unique quality pins in existence? I don't these are craftable, so why are the ones gotten from pre-ordering Portal 2 Genuine quality? Just to further differentiate it from the Resurrection Pin? As far as I know there is that one vintage pin and the others are genuine. CidTheNinja 20:57, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
