Square Mile Radius?

Radius can't be measured in square miles because square miles measure area, not distance. If it was just square miles or just mile radius it would work. should I add a note about this? Grug 17:07, 16 December 2011 (PST)

It doesn't technically make sense, but it's just a saying, so not really noteworthy. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 17:51, 16 December 2011 (PST)
I have never heard anyone say "Square mile radius". It's always "2 mile radius" or the like. Grug 18:02, 16 December 2011 (PST)

Self-Illum

Does the white-hot coil have self-illum on it? If so, it should be linked to like all of the other articles about items with self-illum and jigglebones. I can't get in-game to test it right now, but I might as well coerce one of you guys to do it. -- Psychopath User Psychopath avatar.png 08:04, 18 December 2011 (PST)

Yeah, it's Self Illum Kardia Munr 21:44, 19 December 2011 (PST)

Second kill Icon

I noticed that the third degree in the demonstration video only used the first kill icon and never used the second, I assume the second kill icon is for when the chain kill happens but it's bugged to now work as of right now. Can some one confirm?Nintyuk 13:40, 18 December 2011 (PST)

Yep, it never uses the second kill icon, I tested it in an actual match. I think it should be listed as either a bug, or simply just unused content. -- AxL 16:48, 20 December 2011 (PST)

Damage Resistances and Bonuses

I don't know if this stuff's already been tested, but not added to the page, but I'm curious how damage bonuses and resistances work with the Third Degree. For example, if a heavy is being healed and has the Fists of Steel out when being struck, does his medic take the doubled damage or regular damage. What about the other way (patient has FoS out but pyro hits medic the instead)? Does the heavy take the extra damage still? Does the medic take any extra damage? Yeef 18:00, 18 December 2011 (PST)

Finally got one as a drop and tested it myself. Vulnerabilities (and likely resistances) don't transfer. You can see the results here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UVOn4h21zU&hd=1 Yeef 11:42, 2 January 2012 (PST)

Amputator

New to the wiki, but I'm going to add that the third degree also damages the medic if you hit a player under the effects of the Amputator taunt, found this out ingame recently. EvaShark 06:17, 26 December 2011 (PST)

  • Is it just me, or does this seem to be possibly unintended, due to how the game determines who is healing who? Weapon's effects says healing beams, but this is a type of healing... *shrug* Mostly asking since if it isn't a bug the demonstration should probably be redone to show it. HyperionXV 03:47, 13 January 2012 (PST)

Dispenser healing beams

Question: Does the Third Degree injure users being healed by dispensers by either attacking one of the users or the dispenser itself? They ARE technically connected by healing beams. --Justanotherfool 13:43, 26 December 2011 (PST)

I'll test this now and get back to you. EvaShark 09:52, 27 December 2011 (PST)
Tested with bots, neither of those worked. EvaShark 11:25, 27 December 2011 (PST)

Possible infobox-related bug?

[1] Am I the only one seeing this, or is it a bug on the page? Sven 08:57, 21 January 2012 (PST)

Nobody has taken a backup, non-3D version of the weapon yet. Balladofwindfishes 08:59, 21 January 2012 (PST)

Friendly Fire

If an enemy Medic is healing a friendly Spy, if I strike the Medic with the Third Degree, does the Spy take damage? Similarly, if I hit a friendly Spy healed by a enemy Medic, does the Medic take damage? I'm just curious about the FF situation. ShadowGlove 03:20, 2 February 2012 (PST)

Just tested it myself. If friendly fire is off, hitting the spy won't harm the medic. Hitting the medic won't harm the spy. If friendly fire is on, hitting either one hurts everyone in the chain. Yeef 22:09, 17 February 2012 (PST)

vs. Medicating Melody

If a medic taunts with the Amputator to heal nearby team-mates via the Medicating Melody, do they all count as being connected? According to Community_Medieval_mode_strategy#Weapon_specific_3 the answer is yes, but I haven't tested this and it isn't shown in the demonstration video.

N.B. the melody does not heal disguised spies, so as far as I can tell there is no way to hit yourself via a Third Degree chain. Kzig 06:01, 15 December 2012 (PST)

Righteous Bison

Am i the only one who notices it? --Uncle Grandpa (talk) 14:58, 15 September 2013 (PDT)

You're not being specific so can't really answer your question. Ashes (talk) 14:59, 15 September 2013 (PDT)

The Burn Link

I was just wondering if we can put a warning for the link to the different types of burns, because I just checked, and it seemed pretty graphic to me, the Fourth Degree picture to be more specific. So can we put a warning for the link, or is it okay? Legomaster445 (talk) 13:42, 8 February 2014 (PST)

Nobody Talked about the third degree being a DIRECT stock upgrade?

WTF VALVE.I know it's upside comes hardly into play,but...IT'S LITERALLY BETTER THAN STOCK.THERE'S NO REASON TO NOT TO USE IT INSTEAD OF STOCK. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Onilinkle (talk) • (contribs)

I don't think this is the right place to talk about that. Also, you should really sign your posts. Jboby1 (talk) 13:09, 13 October 2017 (PDT)

Irrelevant. This is not the right place to rant about a weapon. ⇒Leaderboard class spy.png Anyar (talk/contributions/giveaway) 09:29, 14 October 2017 (PDT)
