Pyro's Reserve Shooter
Is it worth noting this was originally suggested as a Pyro weapon on SPUF?
- Absolutely not. Balladofwindfishes 06:47, 2 August 2011 (PDT)
- It is worth noting that the weapon is now also usable by the pyro in the Beta. Drkirby 21:10, 21 September 2011 (PDT)
Crashes
Apparently when air blasting a target downward, and killing them with minicrits from the RS, the server crashes, can anyone confirm?
Reload speed
Does it stack with the Degreaser?--TheJohns 01:24, 15 October 2011 (PDT)
- Switch speed, you mean? Yes. Even faster Axtinguishing now.-

Class Tokens
I'm not sure if this is an appropriate spot for this, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Does anyone know what would happen if you tried to rebuild a class token with a reserve shooter? Since it can be used by pyros and soldiers, which class would it represent? Also, if anyone knows a better spot to post this, let me know. Poiuyt1587 00:55, 23 December 2011 (PST)
- Same reason as Pain Train and Half-Zatoichi, you'll get soldier token with rebuild recipe. Hinaomi

Early Design/Additional Trivia
I was reading about this shotgun on the Polycount website and found an older picture from it's design stages with the folding stock up. I was wondering if we could add it into the Pictures and Trivia sections. Here is the link: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=73188 --Magnum Force-Enforcer 18:36, 23 March 2012 (PDT)
Publicity Blurb
Where's the source for the publicity blurb quoted at the top of the page? The word "airbourne" should be "airborne", but if it's the same in the source a sic note will need to be added. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 15:17, 20 November 2012 (PST)
- I've been trying to look for the source, but it's from neither the Über Update page nor the Steam Workshop contribution, and Google searches for Reserve Shooter publicity blurb and quoted bits of the blurb turn up nothing useful. I'd always wondered about those blurbs... Sir William Reginald Armchair (talk) 09:49, 24 September 2013 (PDT)
- I'd forgotten about this old discussion :) I've had a good look around, and come across the source - it's actually the artist's own blurb from the first version of the weapon, made during the Polycount project. Not sure if it really counts as an official blurb, but I'm happy enough to leave it as it is. I'll go ahead and add a sicnote to the mis-spelled word though. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 14:52, 24 September 2013 (PDT)
Tough Break Update patch notes
The patch notes state that the Reserve Shooter "No longer boosts all-around switch speed (previously was 15% all-around), instead boosts switch-to speed by 20% and switch-from speed by 15%.". The faster holster speed is not visible, and I have seen this edit; however, if you slow down our official demonstration video, it's noticeable that the Reserve Shooter holsters faster than the Shotgun. It should be tested again to see if it's actually a hidden attribute, as this info is nowhere in the article.

- I can't see that the attribute is hidden in the items_game.txt. You'd have to make a separate test of holster speed in-game to see if it works, I can do that later if you need.

- Based on my testing with a puppet bot (we both switch at the same time, but the bot has stock and I have the Reserve Shooter), there is no faster holster speed. The reason why the demonstration may give that impression is because the faster deploy speed makes them out of sync.

- Should this be noted? The Vaccinator has a similar note. It's from the same update, funny enough.

- The difference here is that it's not noted in the update history on the Vaccinator, but was only on the visual update page. It was also removed from there, so that's more notable. I think a reference next to the patch note like October 13, 2023 Patch has is more suitable.
