Template talk:Set list
Pack icons above their names?
Many sets have an icon associated with them on their own article. Should we add these above their names on this template too?

- I'd sorta need to see what it would look like but my gut instinct is that it'd look sorta weird only having icons on some and not others. I sorta prefer having it be consistent myself. Mediarch

- I don't think that is necessary, specially since some item sets don't have a dedicated icon (which, in disambiguation pages, we just use "generic" icons for them). I think it would be weird to have sets with unique icons, and then sets with repeating icons. - BrazilianNut (talk) 02:21, 31 March 2025 (UTC)
- Every set uses a bag icon on the disambiguation pages, not their own unique one, to make it clear that it's an item set. For this we would just have every icon. I can make a mock-up.

I've created this page to show off the two versions, one with only bundle icons and the other with all icons. I've taken them from the respective set articles. I'm opting for the second table, personally, but please leave feedback under this comment.

- I'm not really a big fan of it. I think having the icons looks a little "noisy" for lack of a better word. The second version looks really odd. About half of the icons are just duplicates of a cosmetic from the set so it ends up being a lot of identical icons next to each which just doesn't look good to me. Definitely prefer the first version over the second but it doesn't feel like the icons really add much in my eyes and feels kind of distracting. My vote would be for no icons. Mediarch

- Sorry, but I don't like either of those. The first one feels weird with the inconsistency of some sets having an icon while others don't, and the second one, as Mediarch said, looks strange and a bit confusing by having duplicate icons near each other. - BrazilianNut (talk) 05:26, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
Good idea, but not yet. On paper, it seems like a good idea to add icons above the names of item sets. The main issue is there isn't enough item set images. I didn't get a chance to look at the second one, but the first one seems ok (apart from the problem I just metioned earlier). We just need to wait for more icons to be added. If not, is there chance that we could create our own icons for those item sets?

- I don't think we'll add our own icons. At most they'd consist of the class wearing the entire set, which would not be consistent with the rest of them.
