Welcome!
Good morning/afternoon/evening (delete as applicable) fellow Wikipedian! I see that you are relatively new here so you might have some issues, concerns or questions about this grand base of TF2 knowledge. If so, please do not hesitate to contact me or anyone else on the Welcoming Comittee via their talk page!
On the Team Fortress 2 Wiki, we have a coordinated set of rules called the style guide which defines what we should and shouldn't do. Consider it a holy book for editors. Of course, if the style guide can't answer your question, we have a whole hub of help that could answer your question. One very strict rule is that observation/speculation is not allowed.
If you find that none of that answered your question, please do not hesitate to swing by the IRC and ask one of many editors, moderators, even administrators. One of us will have an answer for any of your Wiki editing needs. Besides that, it's an open community of like-minded players - a place to socialise and meet new TF friends - perhaps you could even drop in at the Official TF2 Wiki Server!
With such strict guidelines and speedy editors, you might be struggling to edit, replace or improve. However, we have just the remedy for this problem! Let me introduce the tasks list! It's just the place to go to find what you want to do - be it editing, improving standards, expanding stubs, heightening picture qualities, anything. Of course, if you feel that you're up to the challenge of patrolling edits, please head to the recent changes page where you can keep up-to-date with new edits and, thus, revert any vandals or nonsense edits/images.
And that will be all from me! However, should you wish to talk to an actual moderator, their names are in green and thus are easier to find. You can also contact them via the IRC on the channel #tfwikistaff.
Thank you for helping the Wiki to grow, and we hope to see great things from you! 13:56, 21 June 2012 (PDT)
Image Cache
Hello. I ask you to please check the most recent version of an image in the cache before undoing it, as the cache may show a different version from the one that is actually stored in the server, and thus, it may seem like the wrong image is appearing, while it's not. More info about this can be seen on the MediaWiki box on any file's history. Thank you. – Epic Eric (T | C) 08:11, 29 June 2012 (PDT)
Signature
I've noticed you manually creating your signature, and I'd like to point out that there is automatic functionality for this. As it helpfully says in red at the top of every page, Add ~~~~ to the end of your post to sign it. You can customize this output in your preferences, under the Signature divider on the main page. Show preview 1
Please make use of the Show preview button. It gives you a preview of the edit you are making, allowing you to perfect your changes before you save the page. —Moussekateer·talk 18:00, 3 July 2012 (PDT)
- Hi, I'd like to remind you, again, that the Show preview button is there for a reason. It lets you see exactly what changes you're making to a page before you commit them to the Wiki. If you make a mistake, then you can easily correct it before you finalize your changes, and if you're making lots of small changes then you can just put them all together into one big change. -- LordKelvin 21:52, 3 July 2012 (PDT)

Not sure what this was for but it has ceased to be. Just a heads up. —Moussekateer·talk 02:34, 20 September 2012 (PDT)
- Do not worry about the image, it will be for my user page and won't do any harm to the wiki Ben10508 02:59, 20 September 2012 (PDT)
- Is it not something you can use CSS for? Also if you are going to reupload it, then please see the guidelines for naming and categorising images for personal use, on the file upload page. —Moussekateer·talk 03:06, 20 September 2012 (PDT)
Demonstrations to work on
If you really want to work on a demonstration, might I suggest the Enthusiast's Timepiece demo? Scoot-teh-destroyer hasn't done anything on the wiki in almost three weeks, so it's safe to assume that he's gone. — Armisael (T · C) 21:06, 21 October 2012 (PDT)
Regarding all the edits I have undone
Hello, So after confirming that in crate #51 only had "Specific" haunted quality items, I had taken the time (and pains of my fingers) to undo roughly 100+ edits. I assume you put those due to a steam client issue saying that the crates had all those hats listed. For future references (and to save my fingers the pains) please be sure of the contents of a crate before putting any info of unboxes on other pages. Thanks :D Ashes 23:53, 3 November 2012 (PDT)
User file guidelines
Hi, please be sure to use the proper syntax when uploading files to be used on your userpage, sound files follow the same convention as images so be sure to prefix them as needed. -- LordKelvin 20:43, 9 December 2012 (PST)
Why?
Why you retired yourself? Is there any problem about wiki? Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 21:48, 2 April 2013 (PDT)
- I've grown very busy with other things and I found out that I don't have as much as I used to have for my work here. You're still probably going to see very minor edits from me once in a while, but do not expect me to make any more videos. Keep in mind, that this is not the wiki's fault that I've retired. I will still continue to check out the wiki, but just not contribute as much. Ben10508 06:34, 3 April 2013 (PDT)
- Ok, thanks for the answer. If you want to do the demo again, this place still accept your work. :) Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 06:50, 3 April 2013 (PDT)
Oh hi, you sent me an email recently but the wiki email system has been dead for a while (in that it doesn't actually send emails). I suggest you re-send this using my real email address, which you can find here. Thanks~ — Wind 23:27, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
- Disregard. Emails do work. — Wind 23:29, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
