Hello, Mrsylveon!
Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- You can use the
button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
- If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
- When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Mrsylveon to the file's name.
- Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Mrsylveon/ to the page title when you create the page.
Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!

Be careful with over-editing. (And welcome to the wiki).
Please make use of the Show preview button. It gives you a preview of the edit you are making, allowing you to perfect your changes before you save the page. You can edit the whole article by clicking the edit button at the top of the page, which is preferable to editing multiple sections consecutively.

Applejack image
Hi there,
When uploading map images, please use {{Mapimg}}
. You can simply add {{Mapimg|Applejack}}
to the image summary and it will automatically add the correct licenses and categories. | s | GrampaSwood

Help with your recent (and probably all older) translations
Hello Mrsylveon,
since there's no experienced Hungarian translator currently active in the wiki, I patrolled your recent translations. First of all, thanks for updating the Hungarian part of our wiki, I figure it's very hard if you're the only one! I have found a couple of mistakes in your page creations or edits that I have corrected here: Well now, no worries! Everybody is making mistakes and there's not many Hungarian colleagues to learn from. That's why I ask you to take a look at each of them to understand and correct those mistakes in your future edits. Also, please translate the lines I've commented and remove the comment afterwards. I've especially seen the following mistakes: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
- Please make sure to always link category links to /hu when translating an article. If you just start the translation but haven't finished yet, please skip to the bottom and link the categories correctly. Once you save the page, they should link to the Hungarian part of the wiki.
- We use
{{lang icon|en}}
for links to external pages, which are solely available in English and not in Hungarian. Please remember to put a space inbetween. This produces this note behind the link: (Angol) - You have some additional whitespace in your text, maybe you want to use an external text editor to display double spaces.
- When translating parts with the
{{main}}
template, please make sure to translate this correctly. You have to translate it like this{{main|Tools/hu|l1=Eszközök}}
. This means that a "/hu" has to be added after the first "|" character and the translated text has to go after the "|l1=" part. - Use
|en-sound=yes
after quotations with sound files since Hungarian doesn't have translated audio. This adds a note that the sound is English. - Please make sure that all links are translated, such that they link to the Hungarian page and the displayed text is translated. There are some links in your articles that aren't translated.
- For links to wikipedia, if there exists a Hungarian article, link it via
[[w:hu:Name-of-the-Hungarian-artickle|Name-of-the-Hungarian-artickle]]
. If there is not, use{{lang icon|en}}
behind the link to the English article.
If you've got any questions, feel free to ask me, e. g. here under this comment. Please remember to sign your comments with 4 tildes ~~~~
, which automatically generates a fancy signature for you. — shots fired by: Nikno {Talk | Contribs} 20:03, 26 September 2025 (UTC)
Categories
Hi there,
Please add the lang code to the category too. For example, it should be Category:Maps/hu and not Category:Maps. | s | GrampaSwood
