About the "Master of Disguise" achievement bug
Hello, a few days ago you undid a edit I made to the Obtaining General achievements page about of another way to get the "Master of Disguise" achievement, asking for proof.
Well, here it is.
I play TF2 with the text in Portuguese, so I'll leave a small "transcript".
1. BLU Pyro (Player called Ion) fires at a RED Soldier and Demoman, killing them
2. Ion retreats to the point and calls for a Medic
3. I, the Medic, heal them.
4. Ion does the Flamethrower taunt (they probably got the Auto-balance warning right before this)
5. Ion gets auto-balanced to RED
6. Ion, former BLU Pyro, gets the "Master of Disguise" achievement as a RED team member.
Now, I know the page is about getting the achievements in a legitimate way, but I do think this bug is note-worthy.
Cya soon,

- Hi there,
- I've undone my edit, this is good proof. Also, using # in front of a line on the Wiki will automatically add numbers (see page's source).

Thanks!
Since there are no images that needs improving.. I would like to thank you for fixing one of my images (seriously, thank you) Dix (talk) 13:59, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
Soundtrack Pages
Thanks for helping to clean up some of my work on the Soundtrack pages. I'm an undergrad student in music, and I have no familiarity with editing wiki pages or properly formatting them, but the TF2 Soundtrack has been one of my favorites since middle school and I noticed that many of the pages haven't seen very much attention or contain inaccuracies about the musical content. I have been trying to add accurate analyses to all entries on the soundtrack, as well as clean up some other things on the pages, so I apologize if I've made a mess of anything. Thank you again for what you've already done to help so far.
Balk (talk) 13:41, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
- Trivia is one of the harder things to get right, so that's usually where people make mistakes. As for the other stuff, the only things I've seen you do wrong was having stuff mentioned twice, but otherwise everything seems fine (although I can't check the music stuff, obviously).

trivia quality
Sir, thank you for your fix. But I remain one question. I thought annotation in alcolic automatons publicity blurb is enough to be included trivia. I want to know what is trivia standard? Howtoplaytf2happy (talk) 23:07, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
- The publicity blurb is workshop trivia, see the trivia guidelines for more information.

I have a question
Since I’ve uploaded some poster images and updated the list of posters, is it allowed for me to update list of posters cesky, deutch, espanol, francais, japanese, etc without or with translating? I was warned before and I don’t want to make the same mistake again. Dix (talk) 10:38, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
- Don't update them, just leave them as-is. Translators will eventually update them.
GrampaSwood (talk) 11:59, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
Thank you!
Sorry for my mistake, wasn't aware of it. Thank you for your help so far! Vege (talk) 23:39, 1 January 2023 (UTC)
Problem with HLMV
I have a problem with Ripped Rider, I tried to open it but it says:
"File models/workshop/players/items/scout/sum22_ripped_rider doesn't exist" any possible fixes? Thanks. Falcons (talk) 11:16, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
- I believe this means you opened it using (Steam) Load Model, correct? In that case you have to go into your
common/Team Fortress 2/tf
folder and create the file path. Create a models folder, in that folder create a "workshop" folder, in that folder create a "players" folder, etc. etc. You have to repeat this for every cosmetic.
GrampaSwood (talk) 11:24, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hello. When you get this error, you can simply put
sum22_ripped_rider/sum22_ripped_rider.mdl
on the "File name:" box, and press "Open", if you are already on the "workshop/player/items/scout" folder (if the "Look in" above has[ROOT]\models\workshop\player\items\scout
on it). I'm going to update my "Missing Folders" pack soon, and I'll let you know once it's updated with the latest items (if you don't have this pack installed, I'll link it on my next response). The process of updating it is always cumbersome and I don't often do it, also because you can use the work-around I provided when the pack was not updated. - ▪ - 14:51, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hello. When you get this error, you can simply put
- Done. It's updated. You can download it from here. Once downloaded, extract the .zip to your
tf/custom
folder (Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom
). You should have a folder called "HLMV - Missing Folders Fix" insidetf/custom
once extracted. This will fix the error that HLMV mentions that the folder doesn't exist. This was updated to the latest patch so far, January 5, 2023. This "mod" does not affect in-game, as it will simply includes a bunch of empty folders (all folders insidemodels
folder from thetf2_misc_dir.vpk
). HLMV can't find the folder hierarchy without this on yourtf/custom

How do I make first person weapon image?
So I'm trying to make a first-person weapon image, but what are the needs? And how do I do it exactly?Falcons (talk) 12:12, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- It has been ages since I've done that, but I believe you open up HLMV, load the arms of the desired class (located in weapons > c_models), pick the right idle animation, load the weapon in (via the "load weapon" menu), then set the FOV to 90.

'Speculations'
Let's make this short, 3 days ago, Road Rage Edit, Specluation, Proof from one of the creators
Acceonit (talk) 22:16, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- Please put a new topic at the bottom next time. Feel free to re-add Trivia with the proof in the edit summary. Remember that this proof is necessary for any kind of future Trivia you want to add.

HLMV issue
Hello! I have an issue with HLMV, the hat's color is RED while the character (the model) is BLUE (I expect the hat's color were suppose to be BLUE, while the character is BLUE) Any solutions? Fixes? Thanks.Falcons (talk) 12:03, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
- I've never heard of this issue before, you would be better off contacting Gabrielwoj or Andrew360.

My bad
Sorry about making a few mistakes, I'm still getting used to the whole editing aspect, if I do make any mistakes though I'm sure they will be pointed out to me. Thank you Cheddar (talk) 14:48, 12 February 2023 (UTC)

Help Translating
Hi, I'm gonna be as quick as possible: "Charging" is translated as "Carica" in Italian, but the Italian DemoMan Nav section displays it as "Caricamento" and not "Carica". How do I modify it?.. Happy Birthday btw :D TheRealLawreV2 (talk) 09:06, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- Should be in the Dictionary's common strings at
{{Dictionary/common strings}}
under "abilities". Do note that it should be the Demoman's charging mechanic as translated intf_italian.txt
GrampaSwood (talk) 09:32, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
I play TF2 in Italian and know that "Charging" is defined as "Caricare", but it's an ability and it is usually defined as "Carica" as an ability (Italian grammar is a mess, there are a lot of variations depending on the context). EDIT: thanks, I found it and corrected it, just needed to search better, thanks for the help! TheRealLawreV2 (talk) 15:17, 15 February 2023 (UTC)

Atomizer Page
Sorry about that I honestly don't recall changing the name of the taunt, removing the bug or removing any images - is there any reason that might happened? - maybe I accidentally edited an older version of the page if that's possible? Thank you again. Vege (talk) 11:12, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- There should be a notice if you are editing an out-of-date revision.

Brushback achievement
I'm not able to get proof anymore, since I have the achievement now, and can't recreate the conditions of getting it unless I make a new account that doesn't have the achievement. And I'm not going to use external software to undo it. This screenshot is of no use, obviously. Someone else would need to follow those steps while screen recording. For future reference, the steps to replicate this bug are: 1. Be under the effects of Bonk! Atomic Punch 2. Take damage; 3. Be on a control point or next to a payload cart when the invulnerability period wears off, and get stunned 4. This counts towards this achievement. Dogman15 (talk) 08:46, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
Isolation screenshot
I'm willing to take a screenshot break while I am compiling my next to-translate list; in the case that no one is working on it yet, I could do it.
I just need to know if only this image needs to be taken (in which case I'd have to upload it separately) or if I should replace all the promo pictures of the map with better quality counterparts using the same angles. Luno 🪐🌕 Talk / Contributions / Team 17:31, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
- The same angles (does not need to be 100% identical) are preferred. All of the pics with the watermark should be replaced.
GrampaSwood (talk) 17:57, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
- Done, kept PNG formats as well if you'd rather have me upload those instead, I simply overwrote them for now with JPEGs set to quality 100. Luno 🪐🌕 Talk / Contributions / Team 19:33, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
Real-life inspirations behind weapons
I fully understand your concern regarding the real life comparisons for the weapons. However, I have a simple yes/no question. If I had a credible/reliable source for the real life comparisons for the weapons, then could I add it the article or is it still forbidden? Thanks and have a great day! :) Not A Spy (talk) 00:02, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- If you can provide a credible source (which in this case, would only be a Valve employee confirming it), then it can be added.
GrampaSwood (talk) 06:54, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- Most of the stuffs you recently added are already in Trivia section, just FYI. Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 07:19, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- They shouldn't be, however, those should be removed too.

Thank you for correcting my mistake
When I uploaded the image, it was through the in-page uploader, which didn't have a category option at all, I did see that you had to label a file "User [Name]" in the images guide and could do that, but when I saw there was no category option, I thought it wasn't a thing in the first place. Thanks a bunch for labeling it for me, though! :) Alesta (talk) 19:41, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
