Dustbowl is an Attack/Defend map in the Team Fortress Classic series of games.

Objective

Blue team must take their flag to Red team's headquarters to win the game. There are two command points on the way which must be secured in order.

Scoring

  • Red team - 5 points per minute.
  • Blue team - 30 points per capture, 50 points for HQ.

Stage 1

  • First Blue Team's Spawn: It is a small cave guarded by two ceiling turrets. The first stage Blue team's flag spawn here and is returned here. There are two exits, the left one with a ladder to the small building with a Backpack and the right one to the bottom of the canyon.
  • Canyon: The long straight pathway from the Blue spawn leads right to the tunnel entrances and the canyon house.
  • Canyon House: It is located near the tunnel entrances. The building has two doorways and a balcony. There is also a Backpack here.
  • Tunnels: There are a system of tunnels that lead to Command point 1. You can find a Backpack with Grenades at the entrance.
    • Left tunnel: The left tunnel provides a direct path to Command point 1.
    • Right tunnel: The right tunnel leads to a small building with two exits. The ladder exit leads to the roof while the other exit is a direct path to the Command Point. From the roof you can get to the house opposite via a bridge.
    • Upper tunnel: This tunnel is initially blocked and opens 5 minutes after the start of the round. It can't be opened by Detpack. It leads to the roof of the left tunnel exit.
  • House opposite the Point: Opposite the Command point there is a house with a window overlooking it. A Backpack can be found here.
  • Command Point 1: The point is not housed and located behind the Red spawn building.
  • First Red Team's Spawn: This spawn has one central exit and is not guarded by turrets. To the right of the exit there is a ladder that you can use to climb up to the roof.

  • Second Blue Team's Spawn: The Blue team occupy the spawn the Red team had in the first stage. The second stage Blue team's flag spawn here and is returned here. This spawn is not guarded by turrets.
  • Town: Further on there is a group of buildings that the attacking team needs to pass by with their flag. You can find a Backpack with Grenades here.

  • Third Blue Team's Spawn: The Blue team occupy the spawn the Red team had in the second stage. The third stage Blue team's flag spawn here and is returned here. This spawn is not guarded by turrets.
  • Pillbox: A small building containing a Backpack. The building stands between the Blue team's only exit and the HQ approach. It has two wide windows which look toward the Blue exit.
  • HQ Approach: An open area behind the pillbox, accessed by the Red shortcut.
  • The Alleys: These are the narrow alleyways that lead from HQ approach to the last Command point. Along these alleyways there are various houses with Backpacks. After the first turn there is also a ladder leading down to a tunnel into the valley.
  • Red HQ (Command Point 3) The HQ is separated from the alleys by a valley with a bridge, on the other side of which there is a Backpack and a building that you can climb into. You can get here through the alleys, or from the valley up the stairs. On both sides of the Command point are the Red respawn exits, and behind the point there is a bunker and a platform.
  • Third Red Team's Spawn: There are two individual Red spawns, one spawn is located to the left of Command point, and one to the right. The one on the left has additional exit, which is the shortcut to HQ approach. This exit is guarded by a turret, although the rest of the Red spawn is not.

Notes

  • The Blue spawn exit on the final stage is very spammable and dangerous to attackers.
  • After being dropped, the flag will return to the Blue team's spawn area after approximately 80 seconds.
