The Sniper after a live performance

The Didgeridrongo is a community-created special taunt for the Sniper.

When selected from the taunts menu, the Sniper pulls out a didgeridoo with a spinning flourish, before sitting on the ground and proceeding to play a long, deep-sounding tune. The taunt continues until ended by the player, in which the Sniper will stand up and throw the didgeridoo in his hand before putting it away. Any significant damage or push/pull based forces inflicted (such as a compression blast or a Grenade Launcher pipe) will instantly stop the taunt, regardless if the Sniper has sat down or is getting up.

The Didgeridrongo was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Trivia

  • Didgeridrongo is a portmanteau of "didgeridoo" and "drongo".
    • A didgeridoo is a wooden wind instrument traditionally played by the indigenous people of Australia.
    • "Drongo" is an insult used to describe an "idiot" or "stupid fellow", which is commonly used in Australia and New Zealand (coincidentally both the Sniper's home country and true birthplace, respectively).
