The Proof of Purchase Hat is a special headwear item for all classes. The Proof of Purchase Hat is only available to those who purchased Team Fortress 2 before the Uber Update on June 23, 2011.[1]
It appears as an olive green Template:W with slight battle damage and a crosshair-emblem of a slightly darker shade emblazoned on the side. A narrow belt with a gold buckle extends around the back.

- The Proof of Purchase appeared in Meet the Medic, worn by a BLU Soldier, prior to the Uber Update's release.
- The Brodie Helmet was also referred to as the Tin Helmet or Doughboy helmet. Less affectionately, it was called a Shrapnel Helmet for it's tendency to break when hit by a bullet.
