War Paint Icons Display Properly
Today's patch fixed the War Paint icons appearing incorrectly on the Community Market and Steam inventories; so now you can get the new backpack icons up, right? -MarioMaster2008 (talk) 22:56, 3 January 2018 (PST)
New main Menu backgrounds and characters?
The main menu article's section on backgrounds and characters hasn't been updated since 2015. Can you upload the Meet Your Match, Team Heavy vs. Team Pyro, Jungle Inferno and Scream Fortress 2017 backgrounds; as well as the Saxton Hale characters for both Jungle Inferno and Smissmas 2017, and the Thermal Thruster Pyro character? After that, we'd be caught up, I think. I would do it myself, but all the textures in the console folder of textures_dir are 1024x1024, and your uploads are of a different resolution than that, so I don't know where you get them. Thanks! -MarioMaster2008 (talk) 02:42, 15 February 2018 (UTC)

File:Backpack Unfilled Fancy Spellbook.png, et. al.
So, previous to last night, the backpack icon in the Item infobox of Unfilled Fancy Spellbook displayed, instead, the backpack icon of the filled Fancy Spellbook.
A redirect (File:Backpack Unfilled Fancy Spellbook.png) had been created way back then instead of an actual image -- I can only guess because no one at the time had captured the imaged of the Unfilled Fancy Spellbook before they filled it.
Last night I managed to figure out how to get all of the translations of Unfilled Fancy Spellbook to display the correct Unfilled Fancy Spellbook image, even if it is not the properly formatted filename, without doing too much damage, I hope.
So, my question to you is, would it be worth it to move File:Unfilled Fancy Spellbook.png to File:Backpack Unfilled Fancy Spellbook.png and delete File:Backpack Spell Book.png? Mikado282 (talk) 15:46, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi Tark Im Timwardo, and i saw you deleted an edit of mine because it was 5 years ago. I thought it was a recent section and because the Beta is still there i put a response in. I would like a warning though, because at first I thought you deleted it for no reason and i was a bit upset, but I want to thank you anyway. Timwardo (talk) 23:51, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, Timwardo!
- The beta was removed from the Latest updates section in 2014. I'll see if I can archive these old discussions later this week. — Tark lm(pt-br) 12:57, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi Tark, i wanted to thank you for correcting my mistake on the Assasin's Attire. It looks like I accidentally change the Original rather than the new translated page. Im really sorry about that.

Question
ive seen that my images need improvement. I understand posing but im not so sure about "quality" thanks in advance! Hexusny (talk) 11:20, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
- Heya,
- By "better quality" I meant that your video settings are too low (e.g.: white outlines (anti-aliasing), model quality). Since I don't make HLMV images, I can only recommend that you read this tutorial on how to correctly set-up the model viewer. — Tark lm(pt-br) 20:04, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
Recent Tournament / Tip of the Hats Medal Names + Steam IDs
Hi there, it seems that WindBOT hasn't been properly cataloging names or Steam IDs tied to contributors for recent tournament or community medals. I've personally put the proper strings in the correct dictionaries some time ago, and the name strings in the tournament medal subsection of dictionary/items even have some translations, but they're not getting pushed to the pages. I tried pinging Wind about it through his discussion page, but he hasn't gotten back to me. Can you look into this? These are the items I know are currently effected:
- Jaunty Explorer
- Jaunty Ranger
- Jaunty Mountaineer
- RGB 3 LAN
- Brazil Fortress
- ESEA 6s Invite
- United Dodgeball League
- TFNew 6v6 Newbie Cup
I realize that we can use the Steamid template in a contributor field to link to a Steam profile in the meantime; however, I am worried about entering an item's name string myself, so I've asked you about it, after giving WindBOT ample time to properly enter it in itself. I was worried about adding name strings in myself, as the wiki warns you not to. Again, each medal is set up to receive the proper string, and the strings are listed in the items section of the dictionary. The only one to watch out for is that the Brazil Fortress medals use Portuguese strings by default, which are listed there correctly as well. Thanks for your time! -MarioMaster2008 (talk) 05:15, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
- Never mind, crisis averted. Wind kicked the bot back into working after a month or so. -MarioMaster2008 (talk) 05:49, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Is it still possible to change the nick? I would really appreciete it. If it's not possible there's another still not used nick (user Dan is empty and talk page too. Both are fine for me. Hey, I'm in the middle of update this to use Lua at Module:Backpack item -- so if you're going to make changes, please make them there. Also, it seems like you added skin as a required parameter, when it should be perfectly valid to have backpack icons without skins. Please add test cases for your changes. Question about Wiki Stats.
Hello. I've checked Wiki Stats, and I noticed the new Top 10 Editors and Uploaders on the home page. But the values for Editors is only counting for Edits, and the value for Uploaders is only counting for new creations. I don't know, but would it be possible if it's Top 10 Contributors (so, for example, I go from 15,383 to 17,496), and Top 10 Uploaders to count all uploads (so I go from 2,588 to 5,055)? It's almost a half of uploads that I am missing, if we are counting all uploads.
Hope it's okay to ask that for you. Many thanks for creating the website, too. - ▪ - 22:41, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
- Also, can I link my Wiki Stats on my UserPage? Would you mind? - ▪ - 22:46, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
- top10uploaders should now be counting new versions and top10editors was an oversight on my part, should be fixed. Your edit count is now 14,235 because we're deducting uploads and page creations (I honestly don't remember why we're deducing page creations).
- I can't really guarantee server uptime, but feel free to link it. — Tark lm(pt-br) 13:46, 23 June 2019 (UTC)

Hello there! I'm an Italian translator of the Tf2 Wiki. I noticed that the page for the "Tank Buster" set got deleted because of a broken redirect.
I'd like to know if I can translate it and if there is no problem with that. Thanks alot! Sorry for bothering.

Hi. While viewing an user's stats, if you click "Graphs" and then quickly "General" or "Achievements" (before the Graphs actually load), going back to "Graphs" will show all the graphs very squished. - ▪ - 12:22, 2 July 2019 (UTC)

Team Fortress Wiki:April Fools' Day/2019/April 1, 2019 Patch
Is the goal here to create a new page or move the existing page? It seems that you started it in 2016. Naleksuh (talk) 22:50, 20 March 2020 (UTC)
- That page is now archived. It was a joke for April Fools' Day 2019. — Tark lm(pt-br) 23:30, 20 March 2020 (UTC)
- Did you know that april fools day 2020 is less than two weeks away? I don't like the assumption that I didn't know it was an april fools page. Seems like bad faith to me. Naleksuh (talk) 01:12, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- It was a page created merely as a joke for April Fools' Day last year. If we were to do something for April Fools this year, which we very probably won't because there's no time and also no interest from the users apparently, we'd make a new page for it. The reason why it seems to be started in 2016 IIRC was because they tried to make the joke for april fool's 2016, but it ended up not happening; In 2019 there was renewed interest in doing something for April Fools so they did it reusing the page that was left over from 2016. StargazerG (talk) 02:46, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- 2012 was organized in about twelve hours, so ten days is loads of time. Don't know how you got the idea that there's "no time". Plus, is there a reason you don't want to create a seperate page instead of moving the existing one? Naleksuh (talk) 17:43, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- Stepping in here. If you want to use the previous years page, IMO, you don't move the old one, you copy the parts you want to reuse to the new page. The 2019 page, IMO, should remain a record of 2019 Community event efforts, if we manage a 2020 event, it should have its own workspace. Tark, does it seem Naleksuh is volunteering? I personally think it might be better to use 1 page. So I made User:GrampaSwood/AprilFools2020. Put your ideas there, I guess. Read the note at the top.
GrampaSwood (talk) 18:46, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- Naleksuh: There was no interest in April Fools' before this discussion, while your reason for moving the page may have been in good faith, you should've asked before doing so. Please be more careful in the future. — Tark lm(pt-br) 21:08, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah i'm sorry for moving the page. I moved it because I saw that it had been moved before, but I didn't know that was because it wasn't used in 2016. And to be clear, I agree that creating a new page is a much better idea, was just trying to follow what other people were doing (and failed). Naleksuh (talk) 21:10, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
