Engineer update

Did anyone notice that they added a second Misc. slot? — WindPower 03:16, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Bitches don't know 'bout my earbuds and Primeval Warrior. --Vi3trice 03:19, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Polycount Buttin

Anyone know where the file for Polycount Buttin is? --Hobbes348 18:45, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

I don't believe it has actually been released yet. --Firestorm  User Firestorm Nuke Sig.jpg 18:50, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Oh...--Hobbes348 18:55, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
If we're including the four ETF2L Highlander medals, all of which are unreleased, them we may as well include the Polycount button. -- En Ex (talk) 14:04, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

So...

Who wants to bet that the Misc2 will be for the Gentle Manne's Service Medal, Mercenary, Soldier of Fortune, Grizzled Veteran, Primeval Warrior, Earbuds, and Greentooth pin? AbeX300 18:13, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm assuming it will let you use two misc. items at once. They're probably working on finalizing it, like getting the Soldier fixed so he can wear two medals. -- En Ex (talk) 19:48, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

ETF2L Badges?

Any idea when we'll put them up too? (nanosheep_inc) 08:10, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Don't think they're even in the game yet. seb26 [talk] 08:14, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Discrepancy on Polycount Pin Release

Only eight people have Polycount Pins, yet seventy people entered the competition. Now on the page, it says twice that it was released, once before the 30th, and on the 30th, yet only eight people have them. The Polycount Pin page itself says the 30th... so which is it? Released before, released on, or not released yet? This needs to be fixed ASAP. --Skunk 10:24, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

June 28th, 2010 ... lists it as "revealed". Mann-Conomy Update ... lists it as "released". So the latter is when it was released. -RJ 11:13, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Images for dueling badges

We could use them. You know, like the ones from other hat/misc pages, with a class wearing it making a pose and stuff. And here's a tip: stop using the Soldier for every page that has to do with an all-class item. Be more original and use classes like the Heavy, Medic or Demoman. -- OluapPlayer (t) Howdy, pardner! 00:47, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Why does everyone always forget the Pyro? --Firestorm 00:58, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
True. The Pyro and the Demo are yet to appear on a page about an all-class item. -- OluapPlayer (t) Howdy, pardner! 01:00, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Hey Engy has only gotten one appearance! I'll try to whip up something, including Pyro and Demo. --Vaught 01:09, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Odd, I can't seem to change the medal skins at all. They all seem stacked on top of each other in the viewer, the Golden Medal taking precedence. Anyone else getting that odd error? --Vaught 01:23, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Misc Section on Class Pages

Right now we have all class misc items listed with hats on the Class Pages, while on classes that have a class specific item (like Pyro), we have a whole section for the 1 item, but doesn't mention the classless ones. I made this quite MS Paint edit to show a slight change to the template I'd like to see here. Basically, I'd like to see all the Misc items grouped in the misc items section of the Class Articles, and not placed in the hats section like they currently are -- Balladofwindfishes 13:08, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Misc item template

I'm not very wiki savvy but is there a template for the misc items like the ones for hats? I'm asking this mainly for translating purposes.Hassun 02:57, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Should "Dangeresque, Too?" be renamed to Dangeresque Shades?

As the Article is called the latter. --Z Overlord 08:05, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

The article's name is "Dangeresque, Too?". Someone moved it do "Dangeresque's Shades" which is incorrect. Both the TF2 blog and the newest trailer for Poker Night at the Inventory call it "Dangeresque Too". -- Alex2539 - (talk | contribs) -- 08:14, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

Discrepency about unreleased items

There's been some back and forth on if the Mapper's Medallion should be listed on the Misc. Page or not.

My thinking is that, with other things such as the Dangeresque, Too? shades and the Portal Pin being listed, then there's no reason not to list the Medallion too; others say it is mis-leading and says that putting there indicates that the item has been released when it hasn't.

Maybe we could make a separate section on the listing items that are found in the game files but are not obtainable; I noticed there's a hat like that as well for Soldier, which I had no idea was in the game...and I wasn't even aware of the 'Unreleased' page of stuff here on the wiki itself. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by The Lunatic25 (talk) • (contribs)

New Table

I have an animosity towards wasting space. Looking at the large horizontal waste of space i made this for the classes miscellaneous items. -= M-NINJA Burger Gib.png =- 04:00, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Pictogram plus.png Support Eh, why not. -= M-NINJA Burger Gib.png =- 19:34, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Pictogram plus.png Support With the addition of the Beak and Phantom, let's make it horizontal before it gets out of hand and we have a giant column of miscs. Stbeecher 19:39, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Pictogram plus.png Support Seems like a good idea, the vertical list is causing a lot of wasted space. Elementhol 04.35, 15/01/2011 (GMT)
Pictogram minus.png Oppose, I don't really like either design, sorry. #1 would be plagued by the same set of problems that Hats faced a while ago (would get too wide too easily), and #2 looks just messy. I agree, the way the table is set up at the moment could be improved but I don't like the alternatives for the moment. seb26 [talk] 04:50, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

I did another Example table that uses a style that is on the Hats page. It still has the same problem of wasted space, but at least it keeps the same flow of the Hats page. KillerKooK 03:11, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Name

Why is "Miscellaneous" capitalized for "Miscellaneous item"? Why aren't others like "action" for "action item"? Rolandius 22:17, 28 September 2011 (PDT)

Wear slots(?)

With 2 misc items, the game now restricts wearing two certain items at the same time, depending on where they were worn. Can we gather some data so we can make a chart for it or something? --TheJohns 00:04, 15 October 2011 (PDT)

Page for Equip Regions?

Should we have a separate page for Equip Regions listing what they are and what misc items are what group in a list or table so people can quickly glance over the list and see what items are incompatible. It's just an issue I've seen people ask, "Can I use this item with this item" and while they can, in theory, just check the 2 item pages, it may be easier to us to make a quick page that is easy to scan. Balladofwindfishes 18:02, 17 October 2011 (PDT)

This is a good idea, I'll get on it. User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 16:24, 18 October 2011 (PDT)

Misc. Item of the Month

Just for consistency with the Hats page, and for some fun, I think there should be a Misc item of the month on this page. —User Rocket Ship BBQ Awesomepyro.pngRocket Ship BBQ(Speech voice.pngIntel neutral pickedup.png) 20:37, 6 November 2011 (PST)

Halloween Miscs

There are 88 miscellaneous items currently, of which 20 are new Halloween items. So statistically, for a quarter of the year the Misc of the Month will be a Halloween item, which I don't think is a good idea. Does anyone else agree that all the Halloween items should be separated, and I can re-write the code so that they can only be chosen in October? It's a similar case for the Hat of the Month as well - there are a disproportionate amount of Halloween hats. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 04:04, 24 November 2011 (PST)

But where would you draw the line? There are plenty of non-holiday specific hats that are seasonal in theme (eg Cadaver's Cranium, Rather Festive Tree) would these also be excluded?MEDUNN 04:23, 24 November 2011 (PST)
Those items you had example are hats MEDUNN, I think yes but should we do the flip flop and lucky no.42 to summer time like halloween items in halloween time? Hinaomi Killicon unarmed combat.png 04:38, 24 November 2011 (PST)
Has everyone forgotten all the Halloween items are wearable once a month during the full moon? Nothing needs to be tweaked. SS2R 04:50, 24 November 2011 (PST)
Seems fine to show the Halloween ones whenever they pop up. -- Pilk (talk) 04:53, 24 November 2011 (PST)
I chose the Halloween ones because, as it's the biggest event on the TF2 calendar, it has the most event-themed hats. And, as SS2R said, they can only be worn a few times a month. It hardly seems right that, statistically, 4 months out of 12 are likely to have an "Item of the Month" you can't even wear. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 08:49, 24 November 2011 (PST)
I'm so confused. If a Halloween item gets picked as the misc of the month, it can be worn that month, during the full moon. Why remove these? I thought the idea was to showcase the items, not put a concern with them being worn. Did I miss something? SS2R 18:05, 26 November 2011 (PST)
It was just an idea, seeing as there are so many Halloween items which most people will hardly ever wear. I'm going to leave it for now anyway, and we'll just have to wait and see what comes round for December =)
