Shadow Boxers is a comic released on December 19, 2012 to coincide with the release of the Mecha Update.

Synopsis

The comic opens with the team discussing the latest defense job against the robots in a dark room in Coal Town with Miss Pauling. Soldier exclaims that he knows where the robots will attack next, since he infiltrated the robot base. After some shenanigans involving keeping Soldier thinking that the rest of the team is American he mentions a secret fact that proves that he really did infiltrate the base. He reveals that he used his cardboard robot costume to do so. Miss Pauling decides to follow him on another infiltration mission and Heavy tags along.

The discover that Gray Mann is slightly frustrated at his creations and how they have a problem with security leaks due to a "Tactical mastermind" (the Soldier). He has however found a solution to the problem, by creating the Mecha-Engineer. The comic ends with the new robot activating and quickly identifying the trespassers.
