The Engineer robot is a support class robot, and its arrival is always announced. Its main role is to build teleporters for the robots to use to reach the bomb hatch quicker. The Engineer robot will teleport near the bomb after it spawns, and immediately build a teleporter exit and a sentry gun, which will automatically become level 3. From this point onwards, groups of robots can spawn through the Engineer's teleporters. The Engineer robot will then attempt to move forward, setting up new bases closer to the bomb hatch. The Engineer's nest can be seen easily by a glowing blue marker that will appear above it.

The Engineer Robot, or Mecha-Engineer, is the ninth and final class to be added to the [[Mann vs. Machine]] game mode. It was originally announced on December 19th, 2012 as part of the [[Mecha Update]], after being scrapped in the [[Mann vs. Machine Update]]. Currently, the only map that it is planned to be on is the map [[Big Rock]], which is also part of the Mecha Update.
