The 'Concussion Grenade is a grenade in the classic Team Fortress games. When the timer goes off, the grenade will explode, releasing a blast of energy that will push away anyone near the grenade when it exploded. In addition, it will cause the victim's view to spin around in different directions, making it difficult to hit a target for a short period of time. It is only used by the Scout and ]]Medic (Classic)|medic]].

While intended as a distraction weapon, it has evolved into a tool for faster movement that is almost vital for flag-runners. See Conc Jump for more information.

Damage

None.

Differences Between Quake Team Fortress and Team Fortress Classic

In Quake Team Fortress, a person affected by a Concussion grenade will have their view randomly and suddenly jut around. In Team Fortress Classic, the Concussion grenade effect will cause the victim's view to move in a pattern roughly similar to the symbol for infinity.

Trivia

  • The Concussion grenade was scheduled to appear in Team Fortress 2, but was scrapped when grenades were removed. Unlike the classic Team Fortress games, only the Scout would have the Concussion Grenade; the Medic would've used the Heal grenade.
