The Sniper on receiving festive containers

The Festive Winter Crate is a tool item released in the December 10th update, which seems to drop the same way normal crates do. It is shown as a Mann Co. Supply Crate decorated with snow and a wreath made of holly.

This crate cannot be opened with the normal Mann Co. Supply Crate Key and is set to expire on December 31, 2010. However, this is not stated while viewing the item description in-game.

The contents of this crate, as well as any drop statistics, are currently unknown. This item is not restricted by drop limits. It can drop at any time. Contrary to some player's beliefs, you can get more than one crate.

There is currently a bug where if a player had found this crate and not played Team Fortress 2 since then, the crate would stay in their backpack, available for trading. However, if the player started Team Fortress 2, the crate would disappear. This makes this crate special for item collectors.
