The Concussion Grenade is a scrapped grenade weapon that would have been used by the Scout. If it were to function the same way it did in Team Fortress and Team Fortress Classic, it would have exploded in a blast of energy, propelling anyone in its range. The Concussion Grenade was cut from Team Fortress 2 due to Valve's decision to omit grenades from the game.

tf/materials/effects/star001.vtf, a leftover sprite in the game files that was intended to be used in a particle effect related to the Concussion Grenade's effect on the player.
- The texture file for the model hints at there being fins that could have appeared on the viewmodel for the Concussion Grenade, but where they would have been located has not yet been figured out.
